United eyes on Krasic

Why am I posting in the Transfer Forbum???? Anyway, I reckon he's probably a more realistic signing and I reckon United are sort of looking to sign somebody in that bracket rather then the more established names. United has a policy of signing players who they believe can develop to the next level.

Yep, I think he is a very realistic target.
Not so expensive and has the potential to be an excellent player.

The lad's quality and will make a great signing for someone this Summer (Juve? Man City? Bayern if Ribery leaves?). However, with Valencia and Nani in our ranks, we don't need him.

If anyone's looking for a midfielder to fill their World Cup fantasy team, Krasic would be a great shout.

I agree, he looks a great player, but not for us.

If he were to play with Nani and Valencia, tactics would probably have to be changed, or one of them play in the middle.

Valencia plays in the center for his national team and does quite well.

However Park says, "That's my new spot!" :D

Apparently Juve's Diego is in talks with Hamburg & Bayern about a possible transfer. Krasic comes in as a likely replacement for the Brazilian.

Krasic is going to be bought because Juventus new manager wants to play with flank men.

According to Calcio.no, three other players are on their way to Juve. Leonardo Bonucci, Simpne Pepe and Giampaolo Pazzini are all on their way to Juventus. I believe Simone Pepe is a left winger so I guess that is likely if Krasic indeed is going there.

Juventus is probably willing to spend big to get back to the top 4 this season.

Love Diego... He just can't seem to get it right at the top level though. Though Juve would have been a perfect platform for him.

He's actually a right winger and i'm sure he plays for Roma?!!

There are going to revert to a 4 - 4 - 2 system which makes Diego a bit of a redundancy (they already have Poulsen, Sissoko, Marchisio and Felipe Melo). Bonucci will replace Cannavaro (they do need a young defender considering the average age of their defense), Simone Pepe is a right winger and Pazzini is the perfect tall striker for crosses. Im not sure on this but I believe that Krasic can play on the left.

We should make a mover for Diego now. He'd fit our system a treat and should be availible at a reasonable price considering he's surplus to requirements and has just had a poor season.

The truth.

I love the fact how our players thrash Carrick left right and center after 1 bad season and yet we should go out and buy Diego after 1 bad season.

Also, Diego was never the quickest nor the most comfortable with a fast game being played. Would absolutely struggle here.

I don't think that's fair Diego isn't Antonio Valencia but he's still a fast player. In terms of his season at Juve you have to take into account the fact that it is a club in turmoil; barely anyone had a good seson for them.

Rather we went for Melo, he had an horrendous season , fell out with everyone at Juve, fans, players the lot. The season before he signed for Juve he was the best midfield player in Serie A and if he'd kept that form would be argued as the best Midfielder in Europe he was a beast. Incredible how badly him and Diego performed. When they both signed for Juve I thought the old lady was back. Just goes to show signing mega players doesn't always work.

Juventus problems where much more complicated then that. After the scandal the club was stripped not only by key players but also by its management, its board of directors and with the death of the Agnelli by their owner too. The club ended up being lead by youths who are enthusiastic but prone of making mistakes that are leading a club that lack funds and which is too desperate for honors ASAP. It was not a matter of Melo and Diego being great or shite its all a matter of having a management (from ownership ie Elkann, to top management ie Pessotto and Blanc right to coaching ie Ferrara) who were too inexperienced for the job. Not to forget also that its difficult to say to those same players who showed great loyalty by sticking with you that they are getting too old for first team (ex Del Piero, Camoranesi who had become injury prone etc). Such problem wasnt solved adequately by our second best manager in our club history let alone a boy (in coaching) like Ciro Ferrara

Another thread to be closed, soon.

All our muppet threads are going down the same path :(

Bollocks. Even his Fiorentina form was well below the level of the upper echelon of midfielders: the Xavi's, Fabregas's, Cambiasso's, Essien's of the game. Hence why Juventus got him and not us, Barca, Real or Chelsea.
