Inter Milan have made a late move to beat rivals Juventus to the signing of Serbia winger Milos Krasic, according to the player's agent.
Krasic was expected to join Juve from CSKA Moscow and said this week he expected the deal to be "concluded rapidly".
But upon taking control at Inter, new head coach Rafa Benitez has quickly made a formal offer for Krasic, following up the interest he had in bringing the player to Liverpool.
"Rafa wanted Milos when he was at Liverpool and now he is at Inter they have made a written offer," agent Dejan Joksimovic said.
"We have been in negotiations with Juventus as well, but Inter are coming to Moscow to speak to his club about him in the next few days.
"There was interest from the top clubs in England, but they weren't quick enough. It is almost 100% Milos will be going to Italy."
