Christ, the face on Ed's wife. It's a look of resentfulness and hatred.

Conservative gain from Labour: a majority of only 23. There must've been a re-count or two for that constituency.

ETA: Esther McVey has just accused John Prescott of sexist abuse during campaigbning, did anyone else know about this?

Tories now forecast for 325, one short of overall majority but in reality 2 over.

That's enough for Clegg to climb as far up Camerons ass as possible, he will start looking like that bad guy from the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

As an outsider with a passing interest, I thought this was going to be a hung parliament? Almost every article, every podcast seemed to be talking about a hung parliament. Besides, I thought Cameron was deeply unpopular, where did this come from?

Labour though, for this outsider they always seemed to have parallels with our Congress Party in how i completely abandoned its principles, so not surprised that they lost.

Everyone was stunned by the exit poll but it looks like it'll turn out to be true. I don't think anyone expected the Lib Dems to do so badly (-47 projected) and for Labour to do even worse than under Brown is a terrible result.

 An independent running in Cameron's constituency got 12 votes.

How is that even possible? Bearing in mind he probably has a wife, parents, cousins, friends etc in the constituency.

It actually looks like it was wrong, but just in the direction we didn't really want to think about

Tories take the lead in seats now, unlikely to look back again.

Cuts are coming. I hope they weren't lying about that 8bn for the NHS.

feck off with Welsh devolution. We don't want it.

I'm on the left so I've always been impressed with the UK's (and Europe's) social welfare programs. Especially the NHS. Do you think there will be cuts on these programs now?

Well yes. Too generous for Labour and underestimated the Conservatives it seems. Quite a stunning result with up to 39% swings in Scotland and the Lib Dems struggling to get out of single figures. Who could have seen Cable and maybe Balls losing their seats?

Crazy.

He only knows 13 people, and two didn't vote for him.

The thing is, I bet there must have been at least a couple of people in the constituency who voted for him by accident.

pls do a deal with UKIP - simples!
They won't need it if the numbers are right, 324 is the actual majority boundary after Sinn Fein lost a seat. Slim, but a majority.

David Laws and Danny Alexander both gone.
