Damn - can't win them all. Lets hear what he has to say about the results tonight.

Who the feck are the 22,000 cnuts in Sheffield Hallam who would vote for Clegg?

Seriously, the mind boggles.

Why do working class people vote for Torries why??? If you're wealthy then yeah it benefits you so vote for them but I don't understand why the majority of the population are doing it, probably because they can't be bothered to get up and vote.

They are going to get screwed over the next 5 years, especially the ones reliant on benefits.

Basically saying he'll resign.

Totally agree. The people that voted them in, who aren't rich, are going to seriously regret it soon.

I bet Clegg is gutted (or more so his wife) that he won.

He is now stuck in Westminster for 5 years as an MP and almost certainly not as the leader of the Lib Dems or a cabinet member. If he had lost, he could have fecked off to Europe for more lucrative job.

"A cruel and punishing night for the Lib Dems" - Nick Clegg.

Well that's what happens when they are led by a power hungry, cameron rimming asshat like you, you massive twat!

Do you think the people in these places might have voted for the SNP if they knew they'd be massive outliers?

Difficult to tell. A lot of Labour people were adamantly wanting to keep out the SNP at all costs, but then some may have not wanted any Tories.

Enfield North goes Labour as well, London the only reasonable success story for Labour tonight.

Esther McVey gone from Wirral West for Tories, reportedly Balls going to lose his seat as a swap.

FFS...Boris now talking about federalism.

I never knew the Conservative politics was fairly popular in England

It's surprised me a lot; for all the talk of England being more Conservative than say Scotland, I didn't think a party running a government after inheriting a recession would win, never mind this. Perhaps the memory of the Blair and Brown years has been underestimated?

Balls out rumoured says the BBC.

There's something about a woman who is both a Scouser AND a Tory that I find utterly repulsive.

Good riddance.

I'm a Lib Dem at heart, but voted Green yesterday. If the former can appoint someone with integrity as leader, I might reconsider voting for them again. Then again, how many politicians have integrity... ?
