There is no point staying up for this now is there? Its basically as good as over.

Jim had impressive height so he could look down on people well. So it looks like the SNP popular support has carried through, unlike Clegg last time? With such a potential landslide, how the feck did the referendum campaign fail?

Most of the 45% will have stuck with SNP, whereas the union vote would be fragmented. Plus, you'll get some No voters who were worried about the risks of independence, but know there's no such risk to an SNP vote for a UK general election.

Not to mention that if there's a small decrease in turnout, those who aren't voting may be No voters who aren't as passionate about politics as Yes voters.

Plus Labour have generally been terrible up here since the referendum, and have had a pretty awful campaign.

So, the UKIP candidate in Tooting is called Przemek De Skuba Skwirczynski. Did he sign up for the right party?

Certainly not when it comes to economics, i try to accept my limitations and allow the professionals like yourself to takeover.
That's very generous Nick to say the least. Bit baffled- no-one has updated the exit poll in over an hour, the dishevelled professor type on BBC has no clue and there is a very mixed pattern of Lab, Con, SNP and Ukip taking seats off LibDems?

Why is this geezer on the BBC talking to down to the panel from upstairs?

6-2, if we go to sleep now it might not kill the entirety of our souls.
If you spoiled your ballot you could have been non-referenced as the Beeb zoned out as the returning officer droned on.

:lol:Tristram, the good Labour man of the people.

Associated Press saying that it's all Glaston's fault.

Possibly the next Labour leader (Tristram Hunt) talking on the BBC now.

Yeah I can see these exit polls being cock on... maybe even a 1 or 2 more for Conservatives (doubt it'll be a majority though)... and so with that, time for some kip!

Not over yet, only six results. At least your tax bill won't go up and no VAT on your moat cleaning.

Feck me it is a LibDem bloodbath. Surely Clegg cannot survive this?

The drunken funny thought is for all those Scots who thought they could vote SNP and have a " strong voice " in the UK, well done how is that working out for you under a Cameron DUP government. I'm not bitter though the wine is easing the pain. At least my kids are grown up so it won't cost me a dime when Cameron butchers child benefit.

Times like this I'm happy we got independence. Unlucky Scotland.

I think they're waiting for some of Labour's must-wins to declare, so as to either support or disprove the model. In particular there are several marginals in London and the North West.

This Labour guy is delusional.

Andrew Neill: "You're fecked, boy"
Labour MP Tristram Hunt: "We're entering the most exciting phase of the night!"

We're fecked. The pollsters and projectionists have got it completely wrong.
Yup, got it staggeringly wrong. There was one prediction this morning that suggested the Tories would do much better than projected, it looked extremely optimistic for the Tories but still only gave them 305~ seats.

One prediction I'll make is that the right of the Labour party will be hugely strengthened by this, it's back to Blairism now.

If Labour kept every seat the SNP took from them, they still wouldn't be on track to form a government.
