Boris will say anything . He will not scrap the TV Licence . But it might get the BBC jittery .

For possibly the first time, I am absolutely disgusted by what I’ve seen from some of the countries most well regarded journalists today.

Even worse, some of the apologies are so half hearted or have not been forthcoming at all. What an absolute shower.

Labour have easily had the best campaign on social media by far

They’ve not had a couple of kiwi disinformation shysters with a box of dirty tricks running their campaign for a start.

Anybody watching the QT special?
Yeah, havd it on now. I do find it confusing when people accuse the lib dems of being undemocratic in regards to their plans to cancel brexit. Surely if they were voted in with that policy then people have democratically chosen to do that?

Think about how stupid the average person is. Then remember that half of them are even stupider than that.

I do agree but the interviewer in R5L this morning made a good point in the interest of balance that a government can be formed on the back of 36% popular vote which is clearly less democratic then a referendum. Which is why it always has to be done by a second referendum.

What is your forfeit if it isn’t? I’d say £100 worth of food to your nearest food bank is a fair trade for your big balls?

Very harsh forfeit for a penniless student.

Tell you what, if I'm more than 10 out either way I'll leave some avocados at the local community fridge.

What an absolute shit show of a day and a complete embarrassment for LK and Peston especially.

What happened?

Just the shit show that was the reporting on the ‘punch’ today outside the hospital. Mark Di Stefano for Buzzfeed has a neat thread that highlights all of the initial reaction. Dan Hodges who really, really gets under my skin has deleted his tweet but it can be found on Twitter. Tried to be really clever about Corbyn supporters and obviously got it very wrong. Doesn’t have a shred of humility about him though.

These guys have multiple millions of impressions very quickly. Fortunately, socials seem to be pulling in Labours direction recently. I hope none of this misinformation made it to broadcast where it would have had a much more damaging impact.

A referendum does not operate on the same system as our FPTP system. There's a reason the Lib Dems have bitched about FPTP for a decade and its ingenious of them to pretend a GE is now suddenly a comparable mandate. You can't overturn a referendum like that.

Not that the Lib Dems ever expected to invoke this. The policy was only ever an election strategy to provide a different platform to Labour.

That low for a majority government?

Rayner was on BBC breakfast the other morning and Naga and Charlie we’re going in surprisingly hard on her and she handled it excellently. They were questioning her figures and logic and she slowed the interview right down, took control of it and took them through it in baby steps and you could tell they were happy she had given a sufficient answer and not just fobbed them off.

I understand that.
And yet Gordon Brown was rated by many including his peers as a fiscally responsible Chancellor.

Let's be honest he inherited a country with nearly no deficit (under £10b) and first world economies across the planet growing by near 3% a year for the best part of a decade with a generation of people gaining wealth along the way... He could have commisioned a £10b golden statue of himself in Parliament Square in 2006 and many would see it as fiscally responsible (in truth given the level he undersold gold for... making it into a statue probably would have been a more fiscally responsible decision)

They might decide not to edit in wreath laying videos from 2016 and stop editing out audiences laughing at him for 3 days now. They've back a horse that is going to eat them alive.

...and in this weeks edition of Colin criticises Colin.

wtf do you mean by that?

What have ever done to you, btw?

You used to be a really nice guy, what happened to turn you into this nasty, bitter, angry little shit?

You really need to get some help and work on yourself instead of working yourself up into a rage about everything and everyone.

You're better than this, you've shown that in the past.

The Conservative guy is about as useful as an ice sculpture.

Notice how they all brought their homes in their 20s, even the Labour woman
To be fair, she lives in Ashton. Houses are cheap there, most of my mates were able to do the same in their 20s while working in shops.

Years of a horrible Tory government will do that to ya.
