UEFA Champions League 18/19 Matchday 5 fixtures (27th - 28th November 2018)

Veratti is quality. Yeah, probably a red but he’s class and it’s great to see these bastards struggling to get out of the group.

Yaay our oil money's working! Despicable club is PSG, from the owners to the players. Liverpool deserve to go out too for playing so defensive, but somehow they'll Istanbul their way to the knockouts.
Well done PSG.

Depends what team Barca put out. They are qualified top, so doubt they will care too much.
It's still Barcelona at Camp Nou. They can rest half their team and they're still big favourites to at the very least, not lose. But still probably win. Spurs aren't close to Barca so even if they rest both Messi and Suarez, it'd be a tough ask for them to beat Barca.

So much fire in this PSG team. Marquinhos and Thiago Silva are just superb, I mean the way they enjoyed defending was awesome to watch.

Naymar, what a player. Love watching players like him.
Buffon has brought some of that italian toughness to the backline . Don't remember psg celebrating defending like this before

So a 1-0 Liverpool win would send them through because of goals scored

Good job Liverpool decided to wait for Keita. Over a season of not reinforcing their midfield to buy a in incredibly ordinary looking player

I thought he was poor today. Static Wilshere.

Spurs are absolutely not beating Barca at the Camp Nou. Barca had a dip in form with Messi not playing but with him in the team they are a completely diffferent animal.

If they don't score against Barca as many as Inter would score against PSV they would still be out.
No any Spurs win in Barcelona puts them through regardless of how many Inter beat PSG by because Tottenham have won the head to head with Inter on away goals.

So are Liverpool as good as out then, or have Wikipedia got it wrong?

Wikipedia has Napoli as already through, on 9 points, with PSG on 8 and Liverpool on 6. PSG have Red Star in their final game, which you'd expect them to win, taking them to 11 points, and thus also through. I thought Liverpool could get through if they beat Napoli by a certain scoreline though?

Barcelona fixtures:

Espanyol v Barca
Barca v Tottenham
Levante v Barca

They'll rest players for Totenham imo.
Even if they rest players it's still a massive ask for Spurs to get anything out of the game, let alone beating them. I can't see it.

Why? Easy games against Espanyol and Levante.

They surely want to make Messi CL Top-Scorer with already 6 goals.

They're not playing all that great in La Liga Away, dropped points in 3 Away games so far and they're 2nd in La Liga (3 points cover the top 4). They'll favour winning both la liga games than trying to beat Tottenham in (from their perspective) a useless game. I might end up being wrong, but if roles were reversed and it was United in this position I imagine the entire forum would be telling the Manager to rest players.

fecking Inter! Why didn't they foul Sissoko? You don't expect such a mistake from a team full of international players.

We keep our fighting chance alive! And at least our fate is in our own hands now.

Well done to Sissoko, Alli and Eriksen for a great goal. Sissoko is rapidly shedding his "flop" tag and is starting to show the pace and power he was previously known for.

True, he’s been great recently

Napoli beat Liverpool 1-0 so if Liverpool beats them 1-0 they would both be on 9 points, same head to head and both +2 goal difference. Goes to goals scored next I think?

The page has just updated to say Napoli aren't through, but are guaranteed at least Europa League, so obviously someone got it wrong in their haste to update. Big ask for Liverpool to beat win by 2 clear goals, I think.

Well this is it for inter :(

Napoli fecked up again. Still, one goal at anfield and they might still pull it off

I can see them doing it tbh. Tottenham are pretty good in these big games and they've got Alli, Eriksen, Alderweireld and Vertonghen all back fit.

Liverpool lost cause of Gomes and a tactical masterpiece of Tuchel. 1 shot on goal that's quite a statement.

Paris nice to watch when they play football. The rest 60 minutes is just disgusting.
