UEFA Champions League 18/19 Matchday 5 fixtures (27th - 28th November 2018)

PSG really screwed up badly by not beating Napoli at home. If they don't beat Liverpool, they are as good as out. I can't see an already qualified Napoli (assuming they beat RSB) beating Liverpool at Anfield.

They were lucky to draw, Napoli had them on the ropes.

Think Liverpool and Spurs have fine chances. Barca have certainly looked beatable in many of their matches and were honestly lucky to beat PSV. Spurs just need to show up like every other team that has done that have faired well against Barca and press them in defense because the Barcelona midfield isn't very quick this year and they don't defend well.

Napoli I don't know. You can't really expect a team to just beat them by two goals or get the favorable result of 1-0. They've only lost 2 matches so far in the season and both their away matches in the CL were draws. Liverpool do just sometimes turn on and they are a lot better at home than away in Europe. Personally I wouldn't bet on either Liverpool or Spurs to go through but it's close.

I think Inter will qualify - much easier to see them get a result vs PSV at home than Spurs at Camp Nou. Unless Spurs win at Camp Nou which hasn't happened in 28 games.

I hope Napoli will qualify - I see them losing 3-1 unfortunately.

90minfootball, Ballstreet and ESPN all made videos a few months ago saying that United were in a group of death due to Valencia being good last season and strengthening. I watch most decent sized football channels and all of them had our group as one of the toughest. There was also a consensus that Liverpool were the best team in their group and would be first comfortably.

I'll be honest, I have literally never ever heard of those first two at all. I can't imagine they have much sway or influence? I went searching for the espn video and found this:

Is this the video you were referring to? Or is it cut short there? Pretty much the only mention there about the Man Utd group is to say that Valencia could be a difficult team (which is true) and that Spurs group was the most difficult. Then again, they spent almost the entire segment talking about Liverpool so not sure if there is more to the segment than this.

Found this about odds directly after the draw. I'm ignoring the outright bit and just looking at the ranking of offs within each group and I'd say they were pretty fair. I'd have had man utd, Liverpool and spurs all as second favourites to qualify in each of their respective groups. Man utd have done well, Spurs have fecked up and need a relatively unlikely set of results to go through now.
