I just imagine the United squad sitting down for a pre-season talk with Van Gaal and Max Recker sticks a Dutch porn video on for the lads, as Louis swings he's dick around for inspiration.

Max Reckers already has his first tape lined up.

A couple of corkers in here in the past few pages.

Has anyone said that our bid for Shaw was rejected besides Jamie Jackson?

It has all gone a bit suspiciously quiet since the bid though...

Odd that only Jamie Jackson is the only one reporting that the bid was turned down, the other guys said we're still waiting form Southampton to reply.

30 mil for an injured midfielder is probably a bit daft. You want to make sure the injury doesn't affect him adversely before splurging on him.

Yep, buy him for £30 million while he's injured after we could have bought him for £15-20 million last season when he was fit.

That's a special type of brainlessness if there's any truth in that rumour.

Didn't someone post something saying Strootman's recovery was coming along better than they thought and that he would be back sooner than first anticipated?

So would I. Didn't we buy Hargreaves when he was injured? Surely we learned our lesson.
Completely different situation though, he got a pretty serious injury in March that was supposed to keep him out for like half a year and he's supposed to be back in August now. It's not like he had recurring problems before, more of an isolated situation.

I'd love him here, an LvG-RvP-Strootman friendship would be very good and he is a great midfielder and we need those. Replace Carrick with him and put a quick, attacking midfielder next to him with Mata as the 10. He would fit like a glove.

On the Strootman rumour, 30 million is a bit much if true, especially considering he's not a key player for Roma really. Pjanic has been their best player this season along with Benatia, but then they also have De Rossi to hold the midfield together and Nainggolan who came in for Strootman and hasn't looked out of place at all.

Wouldn't mind it too much though, an all around midfielder like Strootman is what we need IMO, or at least 1 of the 2. We still need a creative one next to him.

He was most definitely a key player prior to his injury.

Agree that it is too much but think we will get shafted for fees as we are desperate and have also had a lot of money coming in with new deals.
