They already have agreed a deal for Fernando from Porto, haven't they? We still got agent Van Persie if we really want him.
Dont know mate.

Just 2, whereas we have none and can give him just as much money on wages...so fck City

I'd say feck city even if we had iniesta, busquets, xavi, kroos, vidal and Schweinsteiger as the options in midfield

Manchester United to bid €16m for Brazilian Player of the Year says local press: Manchester United were heavil... http://bit.ly/1fVZrwY

Manchester Unitedwere heavily linked with a move for Cruzeiro playmakerEverton Ribeiroin January and fresh reports today in the Brazilian press suggestion a €16 million bid could be on its way fromManchester United.

Jaeci Carvalho, a well established, reliable sports journalist when it comes to news regarding Minas Gerais’ clubs, has written in his column forSuper Esportesthat Cruzeiro turned down a bid around €13m for Ribeiro from an English club a while ago but believes a €16m is on its way which Cruzeiro are willing to accept and thatManchester Unitedis likely the club in question.

Linked with Ribeiro again? Would be a very risky buy from what I've heard.

Glazers have put in far too much effort into the financial, advertising and marketing arms of United to be selling at a time when all that work is coming to fruition and the new premier league TV deal is going to make everyone rich. I think you can forget a sale now, the club really has no price when you can milk it for millions year after year.

Why what have you heard, also 16mill euros in comparison to other recent acquisitions is pretty cheap for us. He's worth having a shot at. Bring him in, see if he can adapt. There's something about the lad I really like.

16m for someone who very recently has won the Brazilian player of the year seems like a pretty good deal to me

Meh.. Don't believe there's anything to these Everton Ribiero rumours. It's yet another case of a player using United's profile to get some attention from European clubs. I've seen him a fair few times - decent player but nowhere near United quality. Being named Brazilian player of the year is not a great accomplishment these days. The standard of the Campeonato Brasiliero is really not that high and all the best talents - Neymar, Oscar, Lucas have moved abroad. Sure if he was a young player like Neymar who won it at age 18 it's a big deal and something to be excited about. But Everton's 25 which will make it really tough for him to adapt and it's telling that not many other clubs are interested in him, certainly not a club similar in magnitude to United. No thank you.

Their estimation for this club is 2 billion, which is crazy. No one is their right minds would pay that.

They bloody would. If the Glazers put the club up I fully expect a wave of suitable buyers.
£2bn for us is cheap these days

No way would the Glazers sell right now. The club is going to prosper even more in the next few seasons, they will take advantage of it before selling. I can see them selling in 4-5 years when the club is worth a lot more money.

seen mention of the club being worth closer to 3 billion. But agree...don't see the Glazers selling right now.

Speaking of Bild their translated English version is still a bit bitter about Bayern's Champions League exit

Bild: Manchester United have made first moves to sign Marco Reus

Marco Reus goes under the radar as far as a Borussia Dortmund star can. There's more talk, in the UK at least, about other German talents such as Mario Gotze, Toni Kroos and Julian Draxler.

Yet Reus has scored 23 goals so far this season, which is the same as the other 3 combined. He's added 17 assists to that, which is again more than any of the others. In Germany Reus provides and scores more than Arjen Robben or Franck Ribery, and yet at 24 there's still room for him to improve.

If Manchester United want someone to provide a real and consistent threat on the left wing (he can also play on the right or through the middle) then there may not be a better option than Reus. It's likely he'll be a star of the World Cup this summer and Dortmund are worried about a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave for €35m during the 2015 summer transfer window.

Dortmund want the clause removed and are willing to give Reus a pay rise to achieve that, as reported by Bild. The German outlet also claim to have received information that Manchester United have signalled their intent to sign Reus and, along with Barcelona and PSG, which is the first step in making a move to sign the player.

It will be telling if Reus quickly accepts the Dortmund offer or not. If he doesn't then the Bundesliga club could be open to a bid larger than his clause this summer.

Doch Reus will die Klausel behalten.

Nothing to get excited about. Clearly stated there is no way he leaves this summer.
