They would be good moves for Chelsea. Expensive, but it's where they need to strengthen. I still think they need another central midfielder, one that can knock it about a bit, but I suppose that's why they bought Van Ginkel.

Atletico would have no problems replacing Luis and Costa. Filipe will be 29 in the summer and if Atletico could get 20 million for him, it'd be great business for them no matter how great he's been.

Diego Costa has his peak years ahead of him and will be much harder to replace but if anyone could replace a star striker leaving the club, it's Atletico. They did it with Torres and Falcao, they'll do it with Costa as well.

He's a right back isn't he?

He is but has been playing on the left this season with Ivanovic at right back.

I'd imagine he'll be back on the right and Ivanovic will play in the center. Terry isn't getting any younger.

Maybe. They've signed Zouma and have Cahill too, though I suppose with Luiz not being fancied there, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Zouma and Kalas(? or is he going?) would be a decent mix to have.

They'll regret it if they replace Costa with Torres.

How probable is Chicharito ending up at Atletico next season and being sold two years later for twice the price? It just happens.

Couthious to Ath permanently then imho.

Surely not. He, along with DDG, will be the elite of keeping for the next 10-15 years. Chelsea would be mad to sell. Better off selling Cech, who they've had great service out of.

Yes but you really think Ath will sell two players to Chelsea without making a serious push for him? IMHO if Chelsea get two players from Ath Madrid then Madrid will get Courtois in return.

My guess is he'll be at right back if this move goes through. He's a better right back than Ivanovic in my opinion, and was surprisingly good at LB this season too, so a good option to have.

Costa has a release clause that Liverpool activated last summer but he refused to move. Filipe Luis will be 29 this summer and Atletico would be stupid to reject 20 million for him so Atletico may not be in a position to demand Courtois in exchange. Even if Chelsea are open to selling him, Atletico won't be able to afford him probably.

I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to cash in on Felipe Luis and went for Ricardo Rodriguez as a replacement. He's very physically well built for a left back, and is both solid defensively and dangerous offensively like Felipe.

I like how he's just added Y's to his name until he came a twitter handle that was available.

More interesting how any old shite with a #mufc tag will get picked up on forums like this.

Why are people surprised? Every target Utd had, City pursued after them. We are the Tottenham of the Elite teams. Van Persie was a one off who was not a Mercenary (he did not choose City who would of payed him more than us).

We just have to pay more than Citeh. Remember, They are in CL and we are not.

We can't seriously be back in for Fabregas anyway, can we? The only way would be if we had solid information, if we felt there was an inkling of getting the run around we'd be out the door, you'd assume.

There was a point a while ago I was convinced United were deliberately leaking names as targets to the press in the hope City would sign them.

Damn those Arsenal fans. Damn you Andyyy, Sallyyy, Henryyy and YYY-Delilah?

Fabregas would walk into any team in England. Going to be massive competition if he is indeed up for grabs.

Fabre-gas gas gas,
He's our midfield magician.
Fabre-gas gas gas,
He's better than Anderson.

To the left,
To the right,
He makes Cleverley look shite,

He is class,
Watch this pass,
And he shites out of his arse.

EDIT: Couldn't figure out a good 3rd verse, Incase you didn't notice.

Nope because there is an unwritten clause in the papers these days that if we are linked with someone ergo Citeh have to be as well

If Fabregas is available, City will definitely be in for him. They have just 2 quality CMs. Its not paper talk.

They already have agreed a deal for Fernando from Porto, haven't they? We still got agent Van Persie if we really want him.
