Evidently LVG doesnt feel he fits into his plans. Van Gaal likes a system it seems - rather than individual players.

As for Thiago I'm not that fussed. He's more of an attacking midfielder it seems and I think Mata is as good an option, if not better given his experience in the PL.
Nah. Thiago is more of a central midfielder than a number 10.

Surely if he turned down the managers job at Celtic he won't be interested in becoming the assistant manager at Aston Villa?

Exactly what I'd have thought. Unless it gives him the chance to keep his jobs with the Republic and itv is the thinking behind it.

I have a feeling that once the first deal is done, the rest will follow pretty quickly!

Hopefully it doesnt take us too long!
We were saying that last summer. It's all down to the Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime that is Edward Woodward.

Gerd Muller's retired by now, surely?

Christ I wish by somehow we could contact woody to tell him to sort his f ucking life out.

Maybe you should sort your f ucking life out and stop believing all you read in the press.

I for one believe that Woody is sat in his office, laughing his balls off at all these wild goose chases the papers are on, and has all but agreed a sh!Tload of top notch deals that will go through after the world cup.

Who's with me.....

anyone?

The problem is I thought the same last summer. Even on deadline day, 1 minute to midnight I still expected to see some world class additions...

Until that happens, I can't help but worry the same shit is going to happen again - I would love to be proven wrong but it's a case of hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

If what transpired last summer happens again, Woodward will either be jobless or reassigned within the club having less influence. I would imagine he wants to keep his job and will thus do his job this summer. Hopefully.

Just to let you feckers know (I actually spelt feckers with the e instead of feckers with a u, does anyone do that?)

Anyway, that Rafael Hernandez tosser as I shall now know him as, has backtracked on his Fabregas tweets by saying he has no idea where he will go and that it seems his info was wrong  and then goes on to say he's been mislead like other journalists.

Okay, I'm with those of you that say he's a more professional version of indykaila.

Yep, we will announce official partnerships with a load of new companies on deadline day

I do it when I start a sentence, otherwise it comes out with a small f.

Talking of the media and bullshitters, what credibility does Sport Witness have? I always see that quoted too.

SportsWitness is just TribalFootball with added scepticism. They don't produce stories, then take them from other news outlets.

One of the founders of the site used to be a poster on the old 606 forum, she used to write articles for the daily mail as well I believe. I was part of the football forum when they first started and I've actually had a conversation with Duncan Drasdo on it, although if it wasn't Duncan then it was a sad person.

Either way, as datura say, they round up stories from around the globe and they have conducted their own interviews before, but they won't be the source of any of their articles.

Sport Witness report on what the papers in different countries are saying. They state where the story originates from and whether or not it's believable.
