I'd imagine we're working together to feck over Bournemouth. The Lallana fee will probably be less this way.

Excellent tin hat reasoning.

People said the same about the Monaco double deal for James Rodriguez and Moutinho. Doesn't happen that way.

Lambert to Liverpool for £9 million is what's doing the rounds, hope it's true.

That did happen that way.

No it didn't.

They paid 45m Euros for Rodriguez and 25m Euros for Moutinho which was a fair price considering Rodriguez is a huge talent.

I wish we had Shaw wrapped up before they let another key player go in Lambert. Surely they won't allow too many key players leave in one summer and will have to put their foot down somewhere? I hope it's not with Shaw.

Bit of a double-edged sword. By selling you increase the need to hold on to others yet you push other players to leave because most of the top players are doing the same.

Imagine we will be "only" 265 million in debt. All hail glazers.

Mother fecking leeches, sons of whares.

If true this is fabulous news. Most of us dislike the current owners but they'll be here for the foreseeable future. So might as well get on with it as long as they cut down the debt progressively and start spending more on the playing squad. With the Chevrolet deal and extra TV revenue we might even be able to spend 100 million every single season while City, Chelsea have their purse restricted. :D

It does indicate a large chunk of the Nike deal will be used to clear the debt up when it comes, doesn't it?

That might well be the case. But then why do JP Morgan know about this before the kit deal's been announced ? Maybe they've already briefed the markets ? Or is that illegal insider trading ? Aargh this is very confusing. :(

It is happening one way or another, it's not a stretch to predict it. They may well be advised as what they intend to do with £X when it arrives from Nike or whomever

Southampton are going to be like a completely different club next season. I hope they reinvest the money wisely it's going to be tough replacing the core of the squad.

With all this money Southampton are going to be getting in it will be a perfect time for them to invest in a lanky afro-ized Belgian!

Lol guys if they sell Suarez and get in Lambert you can bet your arse he's coming in for depth.

Ha, I was laughed at by my Scouse mate for suggesting Liverpool could do worse than buy Lambert as a squad player about 4 or 5 years ago. I hope this goes through so I can remind the cnut.

To be fair, 5 seasons ago Lambert had just moved from Bristol Rovers and was playing in League 1.

He was at Southampton when we had the convo, just not in the PL. So probably 3/4 years ago. Liverpool didn't have decent striker back-up and I knew he was a scouser so suggested he would be good squad filler. Not that I thought it was possible, more of a "You'd be better off with Rickie Lambert than him" (whoever it was they were linked with at the time that sparked the convo)

How the feck can they buy someone so quickly and we are being stringed along by shaw?

Because its 15m for a backup striker who is 32. And they wanna force the deal through before Rodgers stops smoking whatevers he's smoking and thinks "WTF am I doing?"
