Only thing that would do is ensure he wins a trophy, but it wont do much good in restoring his reputation. Crap managers like O'Neil and McLeish have won things in Scotland.

This. Southampton's team will be picked apart. No idea how much of the money recouped will be reinvested into the team. They overachieved as a team last year. I cant see him improving them and another season of failure could see him become quickly forgotten.

Yeah, Turan would be a lovely signing. He and Janujaz as wide players would give us creativity and pace out wide, with one of Kagawa, Mata or Rooney as the 10 and RVP or another up front.

Tier 1
Koke - Offer whatever it takes. The next great world midfielder. I'd be
ecstatic if the only thing we did all summer was sign him.

Oliver Torres - Probably can't be signed, but he was one of the more impressive youth players I've seen when playing for the Spanish youth
Felipe Luis - If we don't get Shaw, nothing wrong with paying 15 for Felipe Luis, getting him a month after he turns 29 and having him be our starting LB for the next 3-4 years
Tier 2
Godin - Proper CB, would look good next to Smalling, Evans or Jones
Juanfran - He could compete with Rafael, but we're probably better off here just saving money and letting Varela do that.
Tier 3
Miranda - Less sure about him, but we need a CB and he's played well for years now
Gabi - Would cost more than he's likely worth at his age, but he's a solid CM who can do a bit of everything. Would certainly improve us.
