They don't care though and would they really kick them out of the CL? The cynic in me says UEFA will fine them (which is probably exactly what UEFA want $$$).
Exactly, Platini would never have the guts to kick a french club out of the CL even they are the biggest violators of FFP..

UEFA don't care. Anyways FFP is a load of rubbish. What exactly is wrong with rich people splurging their cash on football? I bet Fulham didn't mind getting to the UEFA cup final cos of Al-Fayed's spending. If UEFA are going to allow chancers to come into football with borrowed money and then load that debt, unjustly, onto football clubs then they shouldn't be fussed about tycoons supporting teams and leaving them better off.

I hope PSG keep spending just to shove it in UEFAs face. I hope they buy Toure and Suarez for £150 million combined and tell UEFA to stick it.

He's certainly been a far more successful signing than Anderson, but then again the latter has been truly diabolical. I still think injuries have effected Nani and that was ever so apparent on his return to the team late last season. Now would be an ideal time to cash in, he hasn't produced in the last two seasons and his market value would still be quite high given his reputation and ability. He has the technique and flair to thrive in less intense leagues with more time on the ball, so I'd expect potential suitors from Italy and France, so now would be the ideal time, if any, to recoup the large bulk of the fee we spent of him.

I just think you get to the stage with certain players, where they pass 'the point of no return'. Anderson is certainly in that category and it bewilders me that some still advocate him staying on at the club, it's imperative he leaves. I personally think the same applies to Nani that it would be in the best interests of both sides to part company, but given his ability and van Gaal's coaching philosophy I can understand why some suggest we keep him.

Anyway, we've needed this mass exodus of players for a long-time, so I hope there's substance to Ogdens reports. A fresh start is needed and I wouldn't be adverse to seeing all those players apart of the cull, along with the likes of Bebe, Amos and a few loans; players on the fringes. You also have to factor in Rio, Vidic and Giggs, so it's easily in excess of ten players. This cull has been overdue.

I agree that we need to ship a few players. I don't think Nani is one of those though. Barring Januzaj he's the most talented wide player we have, he's now very experienced and if Van Gaals methods work for him I think he has heaps to offer.

People are talking about flogging him for £10 million. Where would we find another player who can do what he can do for that price? We simply wouldn't.

Not too fussed about Schweinsteiger because of his age (unless it's true about the 10 million) but otherwise that seems pretty sensible, and even slightly realistic in most cases.

£10m would be fantastic business! He is still a monster.

Great player and worth the risk but injuries certainly seem to have started to take hold in the last couple of seasons. Missed quite a few games, from what I can tell. I'm not so sure that would get any better with the frantic pace of the PL.

Was it LVG who turned him from a winger to a central midfielder?

If yes, then he might find a new role for him.

I agree. I would consider him a rotational must, but I am sure he would be excellent in the bigger games.

Don't care how long he will last for if we have even the slightest of chance of getting him. He is one of the best in the world at the moment and will help us get back in the top four. Once we are back we'll have more choices.

Schweini is a pipedream boys... I'm fairly certain when I say we aren't getting anyone from Bayern or Dortmund this season.

You cant turn down Schweinsteiger at £10 Million, even if he could only managed 30 games a season.

Exactly. At ten million quid, its not even a risk. Although the thought of firstly signing Schweinsteiger, and secondly for 10 million, seems just about the most unlikely scenario that I've heard so far this summer....and that's saying something!

The list Ogden reported last night is similar, minus Schweinsteiger and Konoplyanka. I would be very happy with those players.

Hummels isn't realistic.

He said enough times now that he's 100% happy in Dortmund and Dortmund will not let him go this transfer window because Subotic is still out

The list is realistic because we already know who is the back up option for Hummels (Martins Indi).

A LB, an experienced CB, a couple of midfielders.. Yep. Sounds like what we need.

I'd be delighted if we got 4 quality players for those positions.

Why do they seem to enjoy buying players, giving up on them, selling them to other clubs to develop then buying them back for more money?

He's out of contract so they wouldn't be paying for him to be fair. Still a surprising move, although the article doesn't exactly seem as 100% on it as the headline makes out.

So many managers with different preferences/ideas, similar to how we could've had Strootman for 16m or something under Moyes

Why would Schweinsteiger move away from Bayern (still an integral part of the team) and why do people think he is too old to play a lot of games for us?
