It annoys me that we're linked with all these players in the Dutch national team, when most of them i'd never heard of - nevermind seen them play. I'd never heard of Buttner until we were on the verge of signing him & he isnt even an adequate LB back-up.

The Dutch league may have a few gems that can be unearthed of course, but we need established players this summer & give the youth within the ranks a chance - not talkin a punt of an average foreign lad with potential - we have United potential already!

Buttner was meant to sing for Southampton/Sunderland before we signed him. When he played, you could tell.

We only think they are slightly realistic options due to the media brainwashing us into thinking so. Is there anything to suggest we are in for any of them?

I would rather trust Van Gaal with his extensive knowledge of European football and worldwide contacts as to who the realistic options are.
 
Can i ask why everyone is in a tizzy over something accredited to 'sky sources' . Deary me give your'e heads a wobble. Sky are getting as bad as indykaila with their pure guess work.

Most definitely considering the impact Fellaini has made, but Barkley should have been the key Prem signing. I reckon Moyes had an agreement with Bill Kenwright not to go for him. Doesnt make any sense he didnt go for him, but maybe he did & it was hushed.. Who the feck knows about any of this shite to be honest..

Is McCarthy really a player that's going to turn around our midfield woes? If we are going to sign any players from Everton Barkley surely the only one we should be interested in. We need to be signing players that have world class potential if we want to get back to where we were. We already have too many average players.
 
Shame about Depay, he sounds like a good player. Maybe next season.

If he was brought it with a top class suitable replacement then why not? But on his own, no way.
 
James McCarthy is a great player, I'd love to have him here. Ask any Everton fan, and i'm sure they'l agree. Was in my opinion, their second best player this season after Coleman who was just pure class. If he was Spanish or German, everybody would be loving to hear it. He's one of the most complete midfielders in the premiership, and still has his best years in front of him. 15m + Cleverly please!

Exactly. He's a good player and a big improvement on some of the players we have in CM at present. Shame we didn't do it last summer though.

What about us gettin most of our business sorted before the WC though?

The prepin for the summer was supposedly being done from the start of the new year & before that for long-term targets!

I dont need to chill out - just not comfortable with the situation again. LvG wont be with us til mid-July & then we're off to the States for our 1st match on the 23rd of July. So much for hitting the ground running is my grief & i'm not alone with that thinkin either man!
