For Kroos, it makes more sense to stay at Bayern for another season and then move on a free.

Well twelve months is a long time in football and that offer may not stay open for that long ! Three months from now we could have signed Fabregas or any other CM who could ensure that we aren't so desperate to offer him as much as we are offering him now . If £250k/wk is what we have put on the table then that's a wage that will make him the highest paid German player, a wage that even Bastien won't get at Bayern . I've said it before that this may have started as him using us but then once he knew what we were offering him and seriously so, things could have changed . Still don't think this is going to happen though !

Translation...

Mame Diouf leaving on a free once his contract expires on 30th June 2014.

Smells like an Everton transfer to me.

About time we brought The One back home.

I don't rate Sanga to be honest, but I guess for City he will be backup to Zabaleta so its not an issue. So Sanga is ok with being a bench player then? I guess money talks ey.

Sagna.

Agreed. He's good, but nothing special. He'd be a good backup to Rafael though. We'd end up paying too much for him anyway.

It's happening, just relax. Shaw and Kroos will be Manchester United players come August.

This is like that time van Gaal was set to become our manager yet people still panicked we wouldn't cement the deal. :)

Its horrible though. I remember DDG saying there was no truth in the rumours of an impending move to United shortly before he was announced.

I think we deserve to enjoy this summer and the imminent transfer sagas. Just relax, sit back, and enjoy the ride. van Gaal is here for a good time, not a long time.

Hope it's not true about Sagna. Think he would be perfect for us. We desperately need an extra RB. Sagna is probably a bit better than Rafael and could improve our starting XI, plus he's old enough to not block the way for Rafael. And he's free.

One thing I learnt from Fergies book is that nothing is certain until the contract is signed, he had several (World Class) players saying they wanted to come with terms agreed, only for them to sign for somebody else at the last moment.
Id imagine there is some truth in the rumours, however it only takes one thing to go wrong for the whole deal to collapse. Further, no way in Hell we will be the only Club after his signature, if the Club manage to get his signature then fair play to them.

Yet again another pointless article written by Jamie Jackson, no quotes or facts to suggest LvG has even decided this.
as opposed to all the quote and fact filled stories about how United had as good as signed Kroos?

Moyes knocking people out, Van Gaal turning Kroos down, Bebe thinking he can make it with us, Woodward sending choppers all over the world and he doesn't know why.

Not sure I can take it this year.

It's more about Jamie Jackson being a useless journo. Every article he writes is made up bollocks with no facts to them.

I think James Ducker (who everyone seems to say is reliable) has retweeted it. feck knows what is going on, must have someone else lined up - just hope this isn't a repeat of last year.

Agreed.

Just don't see Bayern selling him this summer, they did it with Ballack. I can only see them selling if they get a replacement but replacing Kroos isn't exactly easy.

If Kroos leaves on a free next year he puts himself in a position where after Messi & Ronnie he'll be the highest paid player.

most journos print mostly rubbish, with the odd story based on a real tip off from a club or an agent. They have acres of text to fill, and it can't all be based on honest info.

This may well be Jackson getting a tip off from United given that the Kroos gossip had reached fever pitch and they wanted it stopped.

After Scholes pretty much challenged Woodward to prove he could do big deals, starting with Kroos, he probably felt he couldn't admit Bayern had rejected our offer. Appearances and all that.

Its possible Van Gaal genuinely doesn't want Kroos but you do feel, after all the briefing that was obviously being done by the club, that he wasn't gonna turn him down if given him.

I can't stand Fjortoft and he's mostly a bullshiter, but this is the most likely explanation. Munich don't necessarily need the money and if they feel, they can convince him to sign a new contract till his current contract expires, it would be only logical to play hardball and not let him go. Especially since he's valued by Guardiola and Sammer.

Or, the most simple explanation is also the most obvious one: Bayern arent willing to sell one of their top talents. Something they are well known to do.

@1ManUnitedNews: #1MUN Source: "Rumours saying that Kroos to #MUFC is off are fake. Deal close to be done. Personal terms agreed."

Isnt that what I said?
