So he failed to sign a player who made a transfer request and went on strike to sign for us? God please help us.:nervous:

I was being sarcastic!

Here is Marcos Rojo's Lisbon Sporting TV full interview:

Disclaimer; It's not a WUM, I made it up completely, but I like it, and someone else might do too.

Rojo: I've called this interview to say sorry to all the Sporting fans for my actions last week. My actions were brought about because I have recieved an offer to go to play for Manchester United, Sporting is a massive club, but I believe I am ready to make the step up to the biggest club in the world.

I had a previous deal that I could be released for 15m Euros, but the new president said it wasn't contractually binding. I was advised by Doyen sports to go on strike, and I followed through with that in the hope it would mean I could leave.

I did not wish to disrespect the club, the owners, the fans or my teammates, but this move is a dream come true.

Inteviewer: Why have you made the choice to move to Manchester United?

Rojo: United is obviously the biggest club in the world, they have world class players, and a world class manager, the project they are building there has me interested, and I want to fulfil my dream of winning the Capital One Cup.

Interviewer: Have you recieved any assurances that Manchester United will be back in the Champions League next season?

Rojo: Yes! I have spoken to Angel Di Maria, and he told me he will see me in Manchester, to be joining the club with one of my fellow Argentines is a huge boost, not to mention the fact that United have a big Spanish presence already, and with the incoming arrival of Vidal that will soon be even stronger. Me, Di Maria, Vidal, Mata, Herrera, Chicharito, De Gea, it's going to be a Fiesta! Adios Sporting! En Vamos en Manchester.

/WUM

:lol::lol::lol: I was really thinking this was the real interview, but then the Capital One Cup part came. Nice one RB.

He's returning to training but that doesn't mean he's staying....
Maybe just me thinking optimistically or at least we're not a complete shambles and totally inept in the transfer market

Would prefer #woodwardout.
For about the twentieth time Woodward only does the negotiations. If targets haven't been identified that decision is the managers. Sanctioning expenditure is the owners. Neither of these decisions are Woodwards. I'm not trying to be an apologist for Woody here - but blame him for what he screw up and not for the decisions of others.

Hes only saying he will go back to training though right?

Woodward truly is the worst chief exec ever to exist.

I love how when we failed to sign the likes of Hazard, nobody started going "omg gill is shit lolz" but now because it's all the rage, everything that anyone says or does that doesn't involve us signing a player is Woodward's fault. Grow up.

This is quite funny now. There'll come a time when all United fans accept our ineptitude and laugh at our transfer failings.
I think that time is already past and buried. We've been ridiculed in the transfer market for years now. Ashley Young, Valencia, Buttner, Zaha and the rest of them were all because our lack of ability to push the boat and sign the top shelf players.

But there will still be guys telling us that it's all knee jerk and we have no clue who our targets are and how we negotiate.

It's a joke

On Twitter, he's quoted as saying that he's happy to stay....

If that is correct then, we managed to mess up signing a player, despite the fact he handed in a transfer request and went on strike...........

K...........

Did you ever think to actually consider that line that these people tell you? It's more likely true that the garbage that people throw around.

"There's always these guys telling me not to be hysterical, what idiots!"

I'm amazed. I fully expect a Fellaini type signing at the 11th hour on deadline day. Some shitter in a position were stocked in.

Wonder how much Andy Carroll is worth these days? Feck it, we'll pay 40m and watch Vidal go for 30m 10 minutes later.

I'm joking, kind of.

It's ridiculous, and slightly concerning when you realise people are actually being serious.

On twitter, he's also quoted as saying "I'm off to United"

How about wait for these quotes to be verified before using them to throw more shit at the walls.

Because he did an absolutely sterling job of negotiating for Fabregas and Fellaini last summer.

I'd only bother reading what Jan Hagen said above, not worth worrying about any other tweets in regards to the press conference.

I've got a strong feeling it is almost a Suarez situation *shivers*, "Say sorry, and you can leave".

Have everybody gone completely mental here?

I expect us to at least bring in a panic buy at the end of the window for defence, but to be fair, even that would help us given the lack of depth. As long as we don't sign a striker or #10 I'll be relatively okay with whoever we buy I think.

"Twitter discussion thread"

I assumed the point of it was to discuss Tweets....I also said "If it's correct"

Just because it's a twitter discussion thread doesn't mean you'll post utter nonsense from bullshit accounts.
