Or that Sporting want him to show some humility before parting on good terms?

Thats exactly.

Sporting want to set an example that we will let you leave only if you don't act like a cnut. Nothing wrong in that.

Yep, agree with that. Anyone who will improve us is what we need, whether they're called Arturo Vidal, Di Maria, or Johnny Ballsack

Has been quite a tight start to the season, only City have won by more than a single goal. Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool exceptionally lucky to win, and us I thought quite unlucky to actually lose (however crap we were, it was a bit of luck for their winner).
Ive heard hes good in a holding 2

I'm fairly confident we'll get Rojo. We'll probably have to pay much more than we want but I reckon Woodward will cave in.

At the moment we need an experienced CB (which we probably won't get however I do think Rojo would be a good signing but he would be a little inexperienced) We need Arturo Vidal, a holding midfielder that would allow Vidal to play his game (like the way Fernandinho sits and allows Toure to play) We also need a top class winger like Di Maria or Cuadrado. Lots to do in two weeks.

I reckon having the Samaritans phone number at the top of the forum might be worthwhile

Absolutely no chance. I don't think we want to spend the money. After EW's spiel it's a joke really.

A player doesn't usually give a press conference at his present club to announce his departure. Must be to confirm he's staying.

Plausible that the club want him to announce personally he wants to leave to get his move to save face on their end.

Just shows how desperate we have become, the guy is no world beater
no but out of all the bang average players linked to us over the last month, i genuinely think he would be good for us, but this is a matter for the Rojo thread.

If we sign Di Maria we will not be playing 3 at the back. LVG has already said he is one of the best wingers in the world, he wouldn't waste him in a wing back role, nor would he play him out of position in a Robben at the WC role.

I'd much prefer us to stick to 4-2-3-1, get Rafael and Shaw fit, sign another CB and we'll be in a great position. Then sign Strootman in January and we'd be contenders.

Then i'd wake up.

I'm sick to bastarding death with these know-nothings on Twitter, forums etc. coming up with these "hilarious" Woodward jokes.

They have no bolloxing clue how we negotiate for transfers, let alone who our targets are, yet they continue to spout shit.

Gobshites.

I agree that most of them are unfunny, but if LvG says he wanted new players since the US tour and we still haven't signed anyone, who else would you say is to blame other than Woodward or the Glazers as they might have said that Woodward should be careful with the money.

Woodward has blown it again and if you need another 2 weeks to see that, be my guest.

I actually agree, however I think hes a gamble of the likes of Smalling/Jones. He could be good enough or they have the potential to be, but he may not be in a consistent enough manner.

Demichelis is better than Nastasic and they just signed Mangala.

Demichelis is slow and he's had more poor games than good for City and at 33 he'll be gone soon. Nastastic is only 21 with bags of potential.

Woodward and the Glazers are to blame.

If Woodward only signs Rojo before the window closes, this entire transfer window will have been a complete failure. We need Di Maria and Vidal. If we don't get them I hope Woodward is booed out of the stadium. If the results suffer than Woodward and and the Glazers have no one to blame but themselves.

Not quite true.

Anyway your man Nastastic has some weird knee injury City don't seem able to fix properly. Plus they just spent 30m on Mangala
