HOLD UP what was Hernandez agent talking about then? when he said wed hear more about his future soon?

If we loose Hernandez, keeping Fellaini should not be a bad idea. I am sure Van Gaal will utilize his ability moreso than Moyes, which perhaps is a strange hypothetical, but he Fellaini look like a slightly better footballer under Martinez than he did under Moyes as a target man upfront.

This post confused me with what it had to do with the quoted tweet. The highlighted part finished me off.

Edit: A sneaky tweet change followed. :D

Hernandez could be going anywhere.
IMO he is now being used as a makeweight for Vidal... at first I thought it was Nani alone going to Juve but apparently that has changed.

So then Allegri saying he is staying means Hernandez is going somewhere else? Madrid?

Yes, I think they confused themselves there.

No I think they meant that Wilson and Powell were in the stands together with the other absentees like RvP, Welbeck, Valencia, Johnstone, Lindegaard, Nani and Evans...wheras Zaha and Will Keane weren't

it should be added that they claim that Wilson is third from the left (which means he has a striking resemblance to Welbeck these days) :)

There are 17 days left of the transfer window and 2 until the new season. I think we need at least two new signings (CB and CM) and we also need to see some departures. Time is running out though.

Doesn't mean they were worth what they want for and either way they both left for domestic teams. We'd get more for Hernandez if he joined a Prem team as opposed to him joining a foreign team.
Surely in terms of making an estimate of his worth it's better to use comparable players and situations that have just occurred rather than simply picking numbers out of the sky.

Of course we never seem to get good value on our sales - even Ronaldo looks quite low in retrospect - so I don't know that the club really cares how much they recoup via sale.

How much Shane long going for? How much did injury prone Rodwell go for?

The Shane Long bid is ridiculous - probably driven by the fact that he's just signed for the club he's at at Southampton are depserate for players. Hernandez is obviously worth more than that, but the poster I responded to suggested he'd be worth 40 million Euros if Madrid sold him, which I disagree with.

Rodwell probably highlights the premium attached to young english players.

This is mental. Palace will go down if Pulis leaves before the season starts.
I don't like the way his teams play, but this is crazy. He'll always have a place in the hearts of those who despise Liverpool though.

Reading the article it seems like it's Pulis' decision to leave if it happens, i doubt Palace want to lose him. They're just being stingy over transfer funds. It didn't help that Stoke gave him a tonne of money to spend on people like Palacios either.

So a Michael Laudrup at Swansea episode like last summer or even Martin O' Neill leaving Villa.

Hernandez has excellent movement and has pace too. Combination of which along with his other attributes makes him almost a guaranteed goalscorer in decent teams.

That is a valuable commodity for any team.

Freaking Steven Fletcher went for 13 million pounds or something. How much did a Higuain go for? Plus he is a marketable asset as well.

At the end of the day he's worth what clubs will pay for him. The fact that he isn't a regular and seems to want to move plays heavily into the buying clubs hands. In that position the club has little leverage to demand a massive fee because the other club know the player wants out and that United want to sell.

He's a good player - but he isnt top drawer. Higuan played various positions for Real Madrid and scored a lot of goals so for me he's a better player, and probably worth more money.

Wages play a part too
