You have a lot more confidence in him than most of us do so!

Last year I was singing a very different tune my friend :)
This year I think woodie is a hellbent for signings as we are, the interview he gave really impressed me.

He came off as alert, engaged and ready to do what it takes to get the club back to the top.

The interview impressed me originally, but since nothing has happened or even really seems to be at this stage, I am not so much enthused.

He did make it sound like we were signing players and not only that, top quality ones. We'll see this week or next I suppose.

I hope you're right. Those 3 players would make it an unbelievably good transfer window, one that would ensure we could challenge Chelsea and City.

So by the end of the next week we have Cuadrado and Vidal here.

The Times say £25m, but didn't the Italian outlets say €40m (£31m)?

It's odd that it isn't James Ducker reporting it. It's a short article, mostly made from quotes from Andrea Della Valle.

Di Marzio is one of those Italian outlets and he's very reliable.

Cuadrado, Vidal, Herrera, Shaw and the inevitable centre back would be a better window than any of us could have hoped for, and exactly the areas i thought needed strengthening. I still thought we'd neglect at least 1.

But Vidal is the signing that it all hinges on. Cuadrado, Herrera and Shaw is good but looks less convincing because it omits the thing we most needed, an indisputably world class CM.

True, but Vidal. fecking Vidal! Can you imagine?

Even if you swap him for Carvalho, i'd have taken that at the start of the window without a doubt.

Messi, Neymar and Suarez.

He wouldn't get a game.
There's been rumours that they will play 3-5-2 in the upcoming season. If they get him, I can see them line up like this:

Neymar - Suarez
Messi
Alba - Iniesta - Busquets - Reus
Mathieu - Piqué - Bartra
ter Stegen
Maybe even:

Neymar - Suarez
Messi
Alba - Iniesta - Rakitic - Reus
Mathieu - Busquets - Piqué
ter Stegen
