Cuadrado rumours just wont go away. Seems a bit much for 26 year old with one stand out year under his belt.. but i'm not the manager and if he fits he fits.

We couldn't even buy Vermaelen? Hope we get something done soon we are pretty desperate for a couple of players. We are very light on PL standard CB's and of course we need another MF unless we are giving Anderson another chance.

He's been very good for 2 years now and had a decent season at Lecce before that. Still, I see your point and he's definitely a late bloomer.

It does mention Blind as a likely target after we gave up on Vermaelen, though. Could anyone see him do a decent job as a ball-playing CB? Maybe kind of a sweeper role to fill some of the gap behind Herrera and Vidal who seem like a quite attacking pairing. Also a good allrounder. Wouldn't be opposed to that transfer if the fee is decent but he's not someone to se the world alight.

Wenger understands that his team and ours may end up in a life or death struggle for fourth place next season. We're more dangerous to Arsenal now than we were when they sold us RvP. Keeping Vermaelen out of our clutches was a no-brainer.

Honestly think we'll sign Cuadrado and Vidal and be done with it. Can easily see LVG deciding to go with what he already has at his disposal at the back now that Vermaelen is off.
