Were Madrid really asking €70m? That's pretty crazy for a club that wants to sell.

PSG have FFP to deal with, we dont. Maybe he meant he is too expensive when you cater for FFP?

If we are moving to a 3-5-2 and Van Gaal is serious about it, then we don't really need Di Maria anyway.

If he wants a 4-3-3 option already, then yes but i think he has seen enough to stick with 3-5-2.

FFP finally seems to have some impact on PSG, no one wants their players on insane wages, so they have no option but to pull out of the deal. Real are asking too much though, Di Maria is not worth 70 Million Euros.

From what van Gaal has said already, it seems the 3-5-2 is the short-term plan and he will look to work within the limitations of the squad while maximising his best players and the long-term goal will be the inevitable move to a 4-3-3.

I get the impression that PSG could give 2 shits about the FFP. In fact, it looks like they are almost trying to boycott it with that crazy Luiz signing.

I think they do, im sure Dadid Luiz is still in their FFP budget. Another big price signing is what they cant afford.

Could you imagine if we go and sign Di Maria, Cuadrado and Vidal before September 1st

---------------De Gea---------------
----Jones----Smalling----Evans----
----------Vidal--------Herrara----------
Cuadrado--------------------Di Maria
----------------Mata----------------
----------RVP---------Rooney----------

Spend near enough £30M on Shaw, just to sign di Maria for circa £55M to not only play in Shaw's position, but out of position himself. Great idea.

Does anyone know anything about this dude? Does he have a history of actually having contacts?

A defender instead of Cuadrado and they should give us the CL even if we aren't in it.

I don't believe that.

Or maybe its just a couple of days off. Not the worst thing for a CEO tbh.

How is David Luiz going to make PSG money. I am very very interested in how you think that'll work.
Because he is a very marketable player due to his style, particularly in Brazil. I'm not saying it's right, but it was obvious to see how adored he is over there and how they often exempt him of criticism, by merely passing his indiscretions off as 'bravery' and 'passion among other bullshit. He will make a ton in shirt sales I bet.

Did you read his description?

"Mack The Knife on Red Issue Mancunia WUM King extraordinaire"

I did read that, yea, but loads of people do that in a sarcastic manner, just wondered if anyone actually knew if he had any reliable sources in the past.

That description is his sense of humour. Plus he has posted that on the sanctuary too and if its a WUM he'd be banned.

He's reliable, not necessarily sure about his sources

If (very big if) the deals for Vermaelen (with the player, now it's up to the Belgian to force a move to us) and Vidal are agreed as reported, Ed can take a couple of days off for sure. We now just have to wait how Vidal's knee is doing.

Anyway, obviously that's bollocks and more likely that no one is coming in shortly. Quite despressing considering our needs at the back and in CM.

He cost around 50 million. They'll be paying him around 100k a week. They certainly have not signed Luiz to... make money.

He can take time off after 31st of August.

We do have other officials at the club you guys do realize that? Hell have several accountants, a finance director, head of business unit, player liason officer, a manager!
