Anderson: £5m
Nani: £10m
Hernandez: £15m
Fellaini: £15m

Circa. £45 million in sales from those four alone. I think that's being very reasonable.

In fact, I think Nani at £10 million represents huge value for any interested party. He'd thrive in the right conditions; all he needs is a little luck to fall his way.
Add 15m for Kagawa if he's sold.

It's all relative and they've all had better seasons than Hernandez. We'd have got £25m for him easily after his first season with us, he scored 4 goals last season, we won't get that now. If Lallana was a bench warmer all year then he'd clearly not pull that fee but he wasn't, he was one of Southampton's better players, hence why he's gone for more than what we'll get for Hernandez.

Then Andy Carroll goes to West Ham for £15m which blows your argument out of the water. Hernandez is worth £20m of anyone's money, if Juventus can't pay it, he doesn't go. Simple as. We don't need to sell him and I think he'd be happy to stay if he's given a role within the squad, which seen as we've gone back to 2 strikers up front, he would have.

Blows nothing out of the water, Liverpool paid £35m for him, do you really think he'd have gone for £15m if he cost them £5m and wasn't homegrown?

Well, he'd done nothing to justify £5m let alone £15m so yeah, I'd say it does blow your argument out of the water. If West Ham were dumb enough to spend that much on shit crock then what makes you think no one will spend £20m+ on Hernandez who is 10x the player?

He scored 1 in 6 starts, 3 in 18 sub appearances in the league & he wasn't used as a sub more the season before, last year he made 6 starts and 18 sub appearances, the year before he made 9 starts and 13 sub appearances.
So he was used as a sub more? I didn't mean more than the succeeding season, just that he was used more as a sub than he was started.

I actually wasn't aware that he featured so much last season! It certainly didn't seem like it. The season before though he did very well imo.

No, you said he was used as a sub more when he scored 18 goals, he wasn't, he was used as a sub more last season.

Aye, doesn't seem like he played that much at all though, hardly remember him featuring.

He scored 11 in 18 starts before Liverpool spent £35m on him, while £35m's way too much, it's obviously enough to justify £5m.

How many minutes did he play last season? I'm betting it was much less than any other season he's had at United. He's easily worth at least £15m. Anything less is a joke for a world superstar who is fastly approaching to becoming the top goalscorer for the Mexican national team. He hasn't been given enough chances at United lately but he's still absolute quality. I'd still be disappointed with £15m but I could understand letting him go for that price if Chicharito himself wanted to leave.

Yes but I don't mean in comparison to last season I mean used more as a sub in comparison to starts, which he was 2 seasons ago when he got 18 goals.

If we sign other midfielders that's all good with me.

If it shuts without a single further recruitment in the midfield area, then yes, I will blame the club. Van Gaal clearly wants further recruitments. I think he'll get them but I'm just sick of the waiting.

I hope we sign also as we need to imo but I'm sure we will and if we don't then imo it will be through LVG rather than the club.

Yeah, Cleverley is worth at least 35m.

He's better than Fellaini.

Cleverley is worth far more than £8 million.

Joke rumour (insofar as the transfer fee being mentioned).

He's in the last year of his contract though.

I'd be surprised if we sell him this summer as it seems Anderson and Fellaini will be out the door before him.

Get em all out and get a shit hot midfielder in I say.

We can get rid of all three and as long as we bring in a top quality starter, we'll be set in midfield.

Herrera, New Signing (Vidal), Fletcher and Carrick for two spots.

Mata, Kagawa and Januzaj for the third.

I don't see us selling Cleverley. I mean it would be odd to sell Anderson, Fellaini and Cleverley all in one window, but it's odd that Cleverley still hasn't been offered a new contract, I believe he only has one year left.

To be fair, we don't know he hasn't been. Valencia's new contract came out of the blue a couple of months back.

Anyone who thinks we will get £5m for Ando is absolutely mad.

If we get any money whatsoever to release him from his contract it will be excellent business.

Completely agree. He's in the last year of his contract - it's basically get rid on a season long loan until the end of his deal or let him go on a free to save him being on the wage bill.

I'm fine with either as long as he goes this summer.

Yeah, you could right. Most of the journalists don't seem to have a clue right now, but I get the feeling that Cleverley hasn't been offered one, although the club could be waiting until they get back from the US tour. Interesting week ahead.

Real currency? Or Monopoly money? If the former then snap their hand off.
I know where you're coming from, but at the moment with a combination of injuries and noticeable gaps in personnel can we even consider selling him? I think it would be a decent move for the player but I wouldn't like to be left with Fellaini and Anderson as cover for Fletch and Herrera.

Well we need to buy someone anyway so his sale can help fund that.

Cleverly may prove to be decent backup if LvG can improve him a little imo. That said half decent backup isn't hard to find a replacement for. I wouldn't have said he wants to create himself more work by selling and replacing backups, but he sold Evra and Buttner leaving us only 1 first team LB, so who knows.

It is. The whole month will be in fact. My guess is that the newspapers were briefed with who can go last Monday when Ogden, Ducker, MacDonnell, Ladyman and the bloke from the MEN all ran with the same story that evening that Fellaini, Nani, Anderson and Kagawa are all available for transfer. I think one of Hernandez and Zaha will also be told they can go this week. Possibly even both but I think we may keep one as a squad player.

£8m really isn't a lot, even if we looked for a squad player to cover the first choice CM pairing you'd pay more than £8m.

Either Van Gaal has seen something we are missing in the players we have or he has something up his sleeve that non of us are expecting (with regards to Carvalho, also stopping our interest in Kroos etc).

Exactly. Would be disastrous to sell him unless we're sure of adding more players in that position. FWIW, Anderson should be the first to depart anyway.
