Bayern Munich want to bring Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira back to Germany. (Source: MARCA)

He's only ever going to be good enough to be super sub here so you can't blame him for wanting to go elsewhere :(

Should aim for 20 million.

Cheech should get plenty of goals in that Atletico team and the Spanish league.
If was starting and scoring regularly, we could get £20 million easy.

But he's a back-up striker. We won't be able to demand £20 million for a back-up striker.

Yes so they can sell us Schweinsteger.
Rummenigge has already denied the rumours about Khedira, unfortunately.
Anyways, the rumour was to sign him for next year on a free, that doesn't make Bastian any more attainable.

Marotta does a lot of talking but the rumours won't go away until Vidal comes out and says he's staying.

Chelsea are masters at signing youth prospects for cheap, farming them out on loan then making a decent profit later.

While that is the case most of the time, Lukaku wasn't exactly a cheap signing for Chelsea.

Not cheap but wasn't he quite highly rated at the time meaning the £10m or so they paid for him wasn't seen as all that much anyway.

Masters at harming careers in the process too, and littering the leagues with good talents on loan.

Chelsea. Masters at this. Masters at that. Lots of love for Chelsea on this forum.

For what it's worth, I think it's clever but I don't really agree with it and wouldn't want United doing the same thing.

£18m, and going to Everton for £23.7m according to the BBC, so not that much of a profit, and they'll have to reinvest that at some point on another striker anyway as Costa, a bust flush in Torres and a 36-year-old Drogba isn't enough.

Not shocking that Hernandez is the unfortunate weak link in our group of strikers that looks to be sold.

And is there anyway we could be in for Schneiderlin? Or is his transfer request basically being used to push things forward to Spurs? I think he'd be a quality signing for us.

Hernandez isn't the weak link in your set of strikers.

And who knows how Costa will settle into the Prem? At least with Lukaku he had been playing in the Premier League for a number of years and has got a great scoring record.

For me, the sale of Lukaku in return for bringing Drogba back is Chelsea's Pogba moment, though obviously they come out better in that they have brought in another striker and got a lot of cash for Lukaku, whereas we didn't get anything for Pogba and didn't sign a midfielder for ages. Striker department is the area Chelsea needed strengthening most, like with us and the midfield. We brought back Scholes which worked well, but ended up helping push Pogba away, while Chelsea have brought back Drogba who is past his best and in return have pushed away a striker who could have been there for a decade or more with a good goals return.

He is. As a squad player, 4th choice striker he's excellent and has a knack of scoring really important goals but he's very limited and even the goals dried up last year. I'll be sorry to see him go because he could be a really useful member of the squad, he's provided some great moment and seems like a genuinely nice person but he has to move if he wants to be a regular starter.
