I agree. Can't imagine there's anything in it. Things can change pretty quickly though.

Last season during the Garay speculation everyone said it was ridiculous, yet a season down the line we really need a centre half. Likewise when we signed Jones no one thought he'd play, yet he, Evans and Smalling have all done pretty well for minutes. And finally RVP - I'll admit I was one of many who didn't think we needed another striker at the time, with Welbeck and Hernandez both in good form. But that was a great signing and all the players in question still made good contributions.

I think United need to start thinkin like all the top clubs & stop grinding every last bitta edge out of a player. Real & Barca etc. are always freshening things up. We've players at the club who wouldnt be at the top-clubs right now - they'd have sold them & got upgrades long ago - after 2 mediocre seasons at most..

Hernandez is sure to leave, so that open's up a spot for Wilson in my opinion. I think Will Keane has lost alot of his spark that he had before his injury - now he just looks average & frustrated.

I hope he can get that spark back, because i'd high hopes for the lad after watching him progress through the academy on MUTV. He was head & shoulders above everyone else in most games..

Because allegedly we have to buy cavani to make it happen...

Erm we'd be buying Cavani.

Which will have a massive effect.

I was referring to the prospect of Ibrahimovic and Di Maria playing together being "scary" or whatever was said. That's irrelevant to United - until we're back in the CL at least. I couldn't care less how well PSG do.

As for people getting all hot and bothered over Cavani there's nothing remotely reliable to suggest the club want him. Sounds to me like we may have been interested before and the Journo's are just, as ever, making things up.

I can see why Van Gaal wanted to assess the players himself. Giggs despite being assistant is still friends with the players he also said Rio would have been his first choice CB :nervous:

It was only four matches we had under Giggs but you could certainly see he was of the old school, with the olders players. It really was time to move on.

United have prepared so many bids and monitored so many situations. It must be taking up all of our time, hence taking a year to sign Herrera. I look forward to next August when we sign Vidal.

It's really annoying we seem to have no one on the forum who's subscribed to Redissue or UWS, or at least no one prepared to update us on what they're reporting.

Not so sure about that. With a decent pre season and no European football I think we could have managed Rio. I think he could easily have played in the middle of a 3 man defence and racked up plenty of games.

You're not seriously slagging him about his love for United etc?
I'm not slagging him off, I just keep seeing comments that obviously means he wanted to stay, Giggsy wanted him to stay etc. Leave it for your next book and just get on with playing for QPR. I get the impression if Giggsy was made manager we'd have a serious sentimental old boys situation going on this year.

I seem to recall Moyes had a ginger hard-on for Cavani since last winter - thats where the links come from. Moyes had more scouts on the go than friggin Robert Baden-Powell ever had..

He wanted to sign Cavani, because Moyesy, Jimmy & Stevey apparently didnt care too much with RvP's attitude to running 40km with a 30kg rucksack at 3am every morning - before training began..

Since he's at a press conference, I assume he is being asked questions and simply replying.
His reply should be 'I'm a QPR player now and I'm excited to be here.' Always has too much to say for himself. The fact he's wearing his #5 cap at his unveiling just represents how self indulgent he is.

We don't want to have our team selections dictated by the needs of very old, declining and injury prone players that have to carefully managed and rotated constantly. It's been hindering us for years in my opinion.

I personally would prefer players to say what they really think, rather than give vanilla comments.

Rio wearing a blue and white #5 cap  already embracing his new team.

Why would Vidals's agent bring the offer to Juve and not United? Is our fax machine broken?

That's actually a pretty common procedure when it's a player or his agent who're pursuing the move.
If an agent feels like it's time for his client to move on to further his career, then he'll talk to several clubs and prepare both contract and price between the clubs, then proceed to present the offer to the selling club, as well as the contract for his client.

I am not bothered about Rio leaving.

Vidic leaving for me was more annoying as I think he has a lot to offer and would have been great to have at the club still.

But if those rumours of Rio leaking the teams are true then I'm glad he has gone.

I shouldn't  But I am?!? I am going straight to hell!

Just be an Atheist like most of the Heathens on here Stret - thats my advice.

If you dont believe in Heaven - then you cant believe in Hell either, therefore you'll just be reincarnated as a Liverpool fan when you die & have Y.N.W.A. on repeat all the time.

Best of luck bro..

Incidently, i only found this out the other week on here, but if you type "Y.N.W.A" without the full-stops - it comes up as "YAWN" instead. Its just like when the Caf replaces the "F-word" with "feck"..

Brilliant i thought..
