He played on the right not left & he scored 8 goals there in 21 games, played up front too and scored 12 there in 19.

Either way, Cavani's massively underrated on here because of his games against Chelsea in the CL and him being average at the World Cup. He's one of the best strikers in the world on top form, just hasn't fit in at PSG because he's been second fiddle to Ibra.

Nobody wants him because he'd be second fiddle here and we can use that money on other positions.

There is one thing worth noting from the Ferdinand transfer.....

How long it took for a free agent to join the club he was linked to weeks ago.

He was on WC duties with the Beeb & he was probably holding out for LvG to bring him back, more importantly. He said that himself in a jokey way, at the WC & on Twitter, but you could tell he meant it..

Sorry about that typo, you are right it was the RW.
I dont think his scoring abilities can be questioned.

We need a top midfielder go pair Herrera with, Woodward apparently has money burning a hole in his pocket and Agnelli cannot seem to shut his mouth about how even though Vidal is a great player a €50M bid would "make them think" ... so make them think Woodie.

I know, I don't want him either as there's no need at all. People just talk as if he's an average player though.

I love Ferdinand but seriously he was beggining to show signs of his age, he didnt hit form until halfway through the season and it only lasted through a string of important games in which we lost a few due to his pace letting him down. Still he is a beast with distribution but even then I grew tired of his useless punts forward.

Both true to be fair.

Fecking hat.

Rafael injuries are becoming more than a nuisance.

I'm fed up with him to be honest.

It feels like he's injured for atleast a half a season - same as Evans. Smalling & Jones arent far off it either..

Wonder if Rafa's on-going groin problems are related to the fact he's always lunging & diving in all the time & over-stretching his groin.

I'm surprised he hasnt dislocated his shoulders from all the arm-flapping he does when he thinks he's been fouled - instead of gettin back into position to defend. He never seems to learn from his mistakes i'm sorry to say..

I'd be delighted if we got Caudrado from Fiorentina. Absolute class player & can play right wing / right full back & also right-wing back..

Anyone else run the Chuckle Brothers song through their head when they see Chilevision?

Chi-Chi, Chilevision!

Chi-Chi, Chilevision!

As much as I like Rafa, he does seem to spend at least half the season on the fecking injury table.

Man, Chilevision is such is cool name, makes me want to watch it just for that.

We need Cavani now about as much as we need Casillas.
I agree. Can't imagine there's anything in it. Things can change pretty quickly though.

Last season during the Garay speculation everyone said it was ridiculous, yet a season down the line we really need a centre half. Likewise when we signed Jones no one thought he'd play, yet he, Evans and Smalling have all done pretty well for minutes. And finally RVP - I'll admit I was one of many who didn't think we needed another striker at the time, with Welbeck and Hernandez both in good form. But that was a great signing and all the players in question still made good contributions.

Even if Rooney or RVP get injured it isnt a problem because either can play the ST role in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 with Mata behind them.
Chica and Welbeck and adequate backups, signing Cavani would be ludicrous.

Vidal is the marquee signing we need and Woodie really wants to impress, he would go get Di Maria or Cuadrado too.... and thats the CM and RW sorted for years.

Miguel Delaney has been very quiet this transfer window. He's usually very reliable, but if we continue to 'monitor' players we won't conclude transfers.

Rafa's problem is that he's never had serious competition at RB - same as Evra at LB, and thats not healthy for a club of our size.

Its like, if they f*ck up - all was forgotten about because they're the best we have, or when they return from injury - they were straight back in the team. Evra was rarely injured though, which is remarkable for a guy who played almost every game for us. He surely must have picked up a shitload of knocks but must have got on with it.

Rafa tries to play like a hardman (Small-Man Syndrome type of shit - well all know one), but i'm beginning to believe he's soft as shit & stupid aswell..

We need to nip these Cavani rumours in the bud. Otherwise kevin will be in here telling us how devastated he'd be if we signed him.

I wouldn't mind him for the right amount of money. Can see Hernandez going for sure well I'm hoping he does go.
As for Garay he is a very good CB and although I have only watched De Vrij in the World Cup he looked very good also, they have both gone for ridiculously low fees in a summer where we have lost Vidic, Rio. It makes no sense we did not try to get either especially considering we have one sick note in Jones, a guy that's scared of a football in Smalling and just a pretty good all rounder in Evans.
Hummels own father/agent says he will not leave Dortmund. Klopp who doesn't mince his words say he wont leave and suggests it would only be considered if a ridiculously high offer was made. Mangala who I think will be very good one day is too expensive at that age and looking City bound.
Varane I cannot see leaving Madrid so who do we think LvG is after especially as his interview clearly stated we are short of central defenders. Everyone on here seems well against Vermaelen and he seems the only one available right now. With season start in less than three weeks I'm really expecting a very busy time with transfer announcements once we are back from tour.
