Wouldn't really be arsed about what we have to pay tbh, if he's available then throw Juve whatever they want and get him signed.

I agree. We need to spend a lot of money for one summer to get our squad back to the competing level.

We'd have to pay £60m or something silly for him.

You'd be hard pressed to find many who would put his value at anything less than £50m, and the state we're in, we would have to pay a premium, and rightly so.

Only the big two in Spain could get Vidal for less than market value and that's because players tend to declare their love for <insert> which leaves their current club with no chance of a bidding war at face value.

Where we'd have to pay around £60m, if he goes to Barca, it could be around £40m-£45m and same goes for Madrid.

We'd be idiots to turn Vidal down if there was any chance of him coming here.

The fun was sucked out of this thread ever since that ban list was introduced :(

Now I thought that quote was deemed false? It came up after the Spain game, and I'm sure I read somewhere on this forum that he came out and said that quote wasn't true and that he'll be at Juve? Or was that, in fact, deemed to be false?

He is supposed to have said it to Sky italia which I would call quite reliable.

Good. What's the point in endless pages of bullshit tweets from Indy and Agent whatever. Which leads to 100s of hilarious posts from members who apparently have their reproductive organ hanging out of their trousers or other productive posts such as ThiagON or ThiagOFF. Gets annoying after a while.

Maybe that's the reason we came up with "not interested" line. Madrid's mouth peace keeps mentioning Kroos, which mean eventually they will sign hime this transfer window.

It's not the ban list. It's because the World Cup started at around the same time that it was implemented. Not much deals will go through with the majority of the best players in the world being in Brazil.

Yep, transfer speculation will pick up again in a week or so once teams are knocked out.

2 months ago I was very optimistic about this transfer window - now I just have a bad feeling!

Bring back Moyes?

The only reason to be pessimistic is numpties running around pretending they're clued up telling everyone "we're not signing him" and "forget about signing him 0% chance" in a game of 'my imaginary cock is bigger than yours' people seem to play

Olic is 35 in September so I imagine he'll be seeing less and less football.

Seems like a strange move for a 28 year old though. Have Wolfsburg got a lot of money? I'm sure Gustavo had offers from bigger clubs too.

Are Wolfsburg loaded? They spent 18 million on de bruyne as well didn't they.

They do have a lot of money, aye.

They're owned by the Volkswagen group, so I'm assuming yes. They've also bought decently in the last year or so. Gustavo, De Bruyne and now this deal if the news is indeed true.

They're building a nice squad. Should have enough to get into the CL this year, might go far in the EL too actually.

They have a fair mountain of cash, they're expected to challenge for a top 3 place next season. Didn't think of Olic on the left, seems a bit of a waste given his goal scoring last season, but he is in his mid 30's I suppose.

Great deal for Wolfsburg must say.

How's their manager?

I've never heard of his name...

I do think that if van Gaal wants any of that Dutch squad and they're available for transfer, then they'll end up at Old Trafford. I suppose we'll see at the end of the Holland World Cup campaign if he does think any of them are worth signing.
