Yep, doesn't mean the club will sell. Surely, the A-list are the LVG targets.
Or that the players in question want to come to us enough to try and force a move, much like Fabregas last summer. That's another reason to be cautious of what Woodward's saying given that he was reportedly sure we'd bagged Bale right up until he actually signed for Real, which shows a pretty vast degree of naivety. He's a bloody successful bloke though so he'll surely have learned his lesson one year on...

On a slightly different topic regarding the club's apparent policy of briefing journos bullshit these days - thinking back to Moyes' end, they were reporting up until a few days before he got kicked that he and the club were still planning for next season, and it was seen here as pretty muppetish to believe the only rumours of his impending doom that were drifting around at that point (funnily enough, largely from the dutch press. Hello Chilevision!). Turns out Woody and the owners had long since decided he was for the chop, and really were just waiting for a clause to kick in to cut down the compensation.

Woody

Wow he could have played it cool and used the old 'value' type phrases we have come accustomed to but he's gone all out muppet mode, surely he must deliver after those quotes. Fair play to the guy he seems excited in what he's doing, let's hope he can get the deals done now.

Feck me, when did Arsenal become so astute with their transfer dealings? They're certainly not messing about this window. Add a lethal striker and you'd have to say they are serious PL contenders.

I was in a rush so recorded it with Fraps, therefore it's a 60gb file and taking a while to convert

Wow, must have been some interview with the faps bloating the file like that.

Yeah it was a tad longer than I expected.

Have you tried SnagIt before? I use it for recording some games but it's good for screenshot ring too as well as video recording a section of the screen.

I was responding to you stupid statement to begin with. The man's also just been appointed by UEFA too but carry on, he's clearly a complete failure if he doesn't deliver a couple of star names now. Btw where in that interview has he explicitly said that he will sign a couple if big names? Sure he's implied it but he's not outright said it.

"It's true we have made 2 big signings both of which are great signings. But Woodward has raised expectations so high with his big and bold statements, that if he doesn't deliver now he will be seen as a guy who can't walk the walk and ultimately a failure."

That was my original statement. I really don't know why you have got so bent out of shape about it. You've also managed to change it to complete failure. Maybe me using failure was abit extreme but there were other ways to reply and get your point across, instead you chose to act like an idiot. Lets put this to bed now and allow more tweets.

This same guy was saying this morning he wouldn't be going to PSG .

Le Parisien and L'equipe carried reports that due to FFP the move may be off.

Other media is saying it is still on or may be. He's just quoting reports.

This is a very good point

I only know the guy from that channel on YouTube and obviously not personally but he's always came across as a bit of a 'know it all' who's actually clueless in reality.

His bit there "we're owned by some horrible bastards" is just ridiculous, stupid and childish.

Certainly not someone I'd consider to have any wisdom about our club. Just seems like another one of those naive nobs who clapped Moyes all last season when he was destroying us.

I agree with your sentiments on him, he's absolutely clueless at times.

I'm calling you an utter idiot. Your statement was ridiculous. Since fellaini, he's signed Mata, Shaw and Herrera for huge fees, so yeah clearly we have a large budget. You said he would be a failure if he failed to deliver big signings after that interview. He's our CEO, failing to land a few big signings now, doesn't make him a failure you utter moron.

He's the: "Executive Vice-Chairman".. Joel & Avram are the "Co-Executive Chairmen" :smirk:

We've definitely gone all Wall Street with this shit..

Good points on the signings after Fellaini though - they've been superb..

Also, i might add, the Mata signing was alleged to have been 3rd-party involvement (not Ed) & a Fergie intervention to Mourinho; convincing him that we could beat his rivals by having Mata - a player he didnt want anyway & Chelsea could win the league in the process.

The Glazers have taken a more hands-on approach to transfers after last summers fiasco. Ed kinda alluded to that by saying he's "taping into all the experience of previous years & people like David (Gill) etc.." or something like that..

What was great to hear, is that he was admitting to have been finding his feet this last year: "for 9yrs i've always been looking from the outside in.." etc.. (short version).

Last summer he walked in like he owned the place & giving it large as if he's the new Sherriff in town type of drivel..

But he seems settled now & thats what we want.. Cant have been easy listening to what Moyes was saying either, whilst all the while saying to yourself: "f*ck, i've alot to learn here & quickly, but he hasnt f*cking clue at all dealing with this colossus of a club.."

Does anyone think he reminds you of Ian Hislop btw:

If Evra is supposed to be announced tomorrow. You never know....

''Juventus FC have completed the signing of Patrice Evra from Manchester United. However, it means Arturo Vidal leaving the club after 3 great years in the opposite direction. More details to come..''

Evra is obviously leaving for Juve, so the longer it goes without an announcement from any party, the more suspicious it gets re him being tied up in a deal for Vidal.
