There should be a fecking book about how we managed to choose Moyes when Guardiola, Mourinho and Ancelotti were available. fecking insane.

Only one of those was realistic. And we should have grabbed him.

Well if we trust Graham Hunter, then it seems like Guardiola also fancies the United job. It could've been him too!
I think SAF tried to persuade Pep to take the job but he was either reluctant, or already set on Bayern.

Maybe, but I'm sure if we tried for Jose then we would have landed him easily.

The only one we could have got was jose as he really wanted the job. Bayern already had contacted pep and carlo always wanted madrid. Jose would have went over backwards but charlton did not want him.

I still think Borini will end up leaving. We can't force him out, but we can make it very difficult for him to decide to stay.

Funny thing is I was against us getting Jose!

I was pretty wrong in hindsight.
Personally I think you are right. Jose isnt united type. Winning at any cost is not really our way. I think we have our type now. I would like us to consider someone like Simone or another young manager when lvg goes. I dont know what to make of Giggs.

That's the one we should have grabbed, without doubt. I think he would have relished it.

Call me an idiot but I'm still glad we didn't. I'd rather have suffered a season like our last and then get the much more appropriate LVG than have had a successful season but watch Mourinho turn us into a negative, defensive side and dismantle our youth set-up and then leave after three seasons.

The best anti Mourinho stuff was from people saying that he "Only" guaranteed success for 2-3 years.

As if Moyes was some long term guarantee!

Klopp remains the guy I hope will be our next long term manager but who knows how things will go with LvG, if he stays active like Fergie he could be here another 8 seasons.

Same. Klopp is the dream. But I never ever want us to sack a manager who's doing well. That way mad(rid)ness lies.

Best player in Eredivisie last season, recently signed a new contract and had a good WC, that puts his price on the rise unfortunately.
I agree that his stocks on the rise, and he's a very intelligent and decent footballer, but at the end of the day he's just a squad utility player. Shouldn't really be paying more than £10m.

Was Guardiola available when Fergie retired? I thought he had already decided on BM...
