I don't think anyone feared LFC going in to the season and I believe that was a benefit to them; this year people know what LFC has and will be ready for them, and a motivated and hungry Utd will be one more shadow hanging over the dippers every second of the day. In a strange kind of way I really hope not. I love Giggsy, he was the player I idolized growing up but when the LVG era ends and Pep is available we simply have to go for him given who successful he has been compared to Ryan who is just starting out.
I'm glad Giggsy is still involved with the club, would be weird after all this years for him not to be but I honestly believe he should have to go and earn his stripes as a manager before being given this job just because of his legendary status.

This.Pep was Barca's B team manager before he got promoted, so he had a good experience of management & making the decisions etc. Giggsy has had only 4 games in management & time will tell if being LvG's assistant will be adequate enough to be our manager after LvG's contract runs out.
If Van Gaal is successful during his time here, he should be offered an extension. It would be crazy not to & just hand the keys to Giggsy..
