Maybe, but he's been arriving in Italy every day for the past 2 weeks according to the Italian papers and journos. Similar to the Vidal stuff, they know feck all.

Morata's Real Madrid to Juve went on hold for a week due to the change in management at Juve, and Morata was already in pre-season training in Madrid.

I assume the Evra deal went through the same "new manager" filter, if only for the sake of politeness.

I'm not sure if that's better or worse! :p

We might not even use a Right back and go for wingbacks. If that was the case Valencia would do a good job in that role.

I think he will do well under van Gaal in that position. Hard to tell what formation he has planned - the tour won't give an indication until the full first team is there.

The Vidal situation looks the same as when Bale moved to Real Madrid.

Let Juventus buy their players before confirming Vidal's transfer publicly.

Too many things point to it being on for me to let those "never in contact" rubbish dampen my muppet.

Marotta is Juve's David Levy when it comes to haggling over fees

Didn't vermijl say he wanted to leave because Moyes wasn't giving him any chances?

I thought Vermijl's agent said something to the effect of "Either Moyes is sacked or Vermijl leaves" not that long before Moyes was actually sacked.

You know it's full on muppet season when papers are even trying to talk to a players neighbors and the fans are clinging on in hope to it

It'd be better for Vermijl if he left IMO. He was getting regular first team football last season in the Netherlands and apparently did very well but he's not going to make it here so he should leave for the sake of his career.

Urgh more of Smalling at RB ?

Doubt it. Smalling is needed for the center back position as we only have him, Jones and Evans as senior center backs. Michael Keane has not established himself in the first team yet. Maybe the plan is for Smalling to innitially cover for Rafael but after Van Gaal assesses the squad, I expect Valencia and/or Varela to prove themselves to be better options. Smalling's poor use of the ball in the position will change Van Gaal's mind fast.

Of the United squad, Vermijl will have been one of the players Van Gaal has seen the most with him taking his loan in Netherlands last season and Van Gaal keeping a very close eye on the league to find his Dutch squad

If LVG doesn't rate him its not because he doesn't know about him. Its because he does.

All he needs to do is raise his game to the level where the bigger clubs track him. Then he won't last his 5 year contract.

Just imagine if Mino Raiola becomes his agent. The Universe would probably explode.

He sure didn't pick up many under SAF's last season. People get carried away with these injuries. I'm almost certain he will feature in a large portion of our PL matches this season.

Was it noted that last season a lot of players picked up a lot of injuries, not only Rafael, would it have something to do with training methods?

Selling Borini for 14 million and getting Remy for 9 is good business. I'm still delighted that Suarez isn't there though, nobody they've bought will fill that void. All decent players but nothing standout so far.

Will always have a certain number of injuries but I have a feeling our casualty list will be lower in the forthcoming season
Yup. I remember seeing a few Dutch reporters tweeting after the WC that van Persie praised van Gaal for his training and conditioning, and said he really felt he was looked after fairly well. And even though it was clear he needed rest, he still looked fairly sharp.

Since when have Porto began to loan these players in ? Odd, as they usually buy talented players and sell them for a profit.

And thought Casemiro was gonna be part of the Rodriguez deal the other way.

Maybe the deal has an option to buy included. Porto's new manager is Spanish so it's no surprise that they're mostly signing players from the Spanish league (except Martins Indi so far). They got Adrian Lopez permanently, Tello on a two-year loan with an option to buy and not Casemiro - all great signings for Porto considering their poor last season.

Carrick, Anderson out injured already. Wilson and Powell as well.

I don't think there were more injuries last year anyway than previous seasons under SAF overall, just to players at unlucky times and in unlucky combinations. The fitness coach was same as well and i think too much was made on no basis really of the the training methods theory. LVG trains his players hard too.

Quite happy the way Liverpool are wasting all this Suarez money on average players.
I don't think they prefer these average players, I just don't think they're able to attract the top bracket of player. Especially no one on Suarez's level (Sanchez for example).
