Agreed, even with our depleted option in midifeld I still wouldn't play Fellaini there in a 3 over Jones.
Yeah that does seem to be the main thinking behind his line-up despite LvG saying his system comes before the individuals. From what we have now I'd go Raf/Smalling/Evans/Shaw as the back 4, Herrera/Jones/Rooney as the midfield 3 and Mata/RvP/Januzaj as the front 3.

He knows his stuff and has contacts either way, owns a scouting company which covers basically the whole of Europe including all the obscure leagues etc aswell as South America.

EFP Scouting thing is his scouting company he owns, they cover worldwide but I know he's based abroad somewhere so I'm guessing it's Serbia and that's what that is.
Di Maria to Pool, would have been an attempt for Real to get Suarez for £35m or so.
Not that believing any of the story of course, but that would have been the only reason in my opinion. Impossible to believe Di Maria would swop Madrid for Liverpool either. Massive difference in culture / English language (doh-dee-doh) & his gaff would be robbed every 2nd week more importantly..

Di Maria would be a brilliant signing but I'd then have to question Rodgers about why he didn't go and sign him before spunking a load of money on other attacking midfielders. They need depth but £20m+ squad players doesn't make much sense IMO.
No way that's going to happen. No way Liverpool will match PSG's offer and no way di Maria will choose Liverpool over PSG.

Pastore = 20 -25 million
LUcas = 15 million (low but quoted by le parisan in euros!)
Verrati = 30 million
Thats 65-70 million spent and most of our problems solved. Instead of pastore, we should rather try for matuidi. He would be a great signing if we cant get vidal.

I can see Pastore ending up at Tottenham especially with Pochettino as their manager. He is only about 24 isn't he? Seemed like a brilliant prospect at Palermo with the likes of Real and Barca supposedly after him. Silly of him to go to PSG if their interest was genuine.
What would do with Pastore ? That would be pointless. Juve seem interested in him though so that might maybe tempt them to encash Vidal.

Doubt it too, especially after he renewed his contract. He'd do wonders for our midfield though.
Pastore can play on the left wing, its where he made his name. Although i do agree we do have players like kagawa and mata who can do that role.
I would like us to go for marquinhos too. He looks a classy defender and maybe not needed as they have luiz now. In reality we will sign de jong and blind maybe vermalin and be done with it.
