Strange given they just bought Iturbe who is a similar type of player.

They play on opposite sides & their current wingers are a bit shite, there was interest in Llajic so they could've shifted him if they had to but he's staying now anyway apparently.

It's 12 + 2 million Euros for Borini. But still what the feck are Sunderland playing at ?

He actually isn't that good or am i missing something? Sentimental value for scoring some crucial goals for them?

Gervinho has been great for them but they do need depth on the wings.

Getting Shaqiri wouldn't be ideal for Roma, someone like Casemiro would be ideal for them.

They need a left winger, course it would be ideal. They have De Rossi, Keita, Florenzi, Nainggolan, Pjanic, Strootman & Ucan all midfielders in their first team squad. They're well stocked in midfield, no need for Casemiro.

Managers usually only go the extra mile for a player when they know they fit their system. Poyet will see Borini as a vital player.

We'll only see transfer related stuff when our targets return from their holidays in my opinion.

Vidal returns next week. Hummels longer. Di maria maybe sooner. Apart from that... There's nothing to look forwards to at this moment in time.

Holidays are usually not that relevant in a move happening or not.

They might shift Ljajic out with few German clubs keen.

Shows how much Serie A I watched last year, I thought Llajic was still at Fiorentina. I though Iturbe and Shaqiriboth played from the right so they could cut in on their left for shooting?

Very true. Who's to say they're finished with business? There's a few players out there. Maybe a Lukaku, or Slimani... Maybe someone better.

Interesting, I didn't realize they had so much spending power, looks like they are really going for it with Conte stepping down weakening Juve.

But he'll be expensive, both the fee and wages. They normally play 433-4321, Iturbe can be there main RW. Gervinho on the Left.

Keita is a squad player, not first team quality, Ucan is similar to that of Pjanic, while Strootman is injurred for a while, and could be off to us if the price is correct.

He'll cost £15m and they have money from selling Lamela & Marquinhos last summer + getting rid of Marquinho this year along with others clearing up wages, they don't need to save money & he's better than Gervinho. Casemiro wouldn't be close to being first choice & would be pointless considering they have more than enough depth there to cover.

These signings are just so average, surely a few genuine quality players would've been a better choice.
But that's not the Liverpool way..

Anyway, I think that he will just be another Cisse. At the moment, there are no players in their squad that can take up the mantle of Suarez. Sturridge will probably become their top scorer, but not in the manner of the cannibal.

Not so much twitter, but "Mourinho, who is an ambassador and pundit for BT Sport".

How can a manager be a pundit and talk shit on other teams?

But Vidal has explicitly said that he won't be deciding anything until he comes back from holiday.

Where has he said he won't be deciding ? He has said he will be talking to the coach after his holidays and see what the situation is after his holidays. Right now his agent is handling such stuff.

If something were to happen in between as in us bidding for him, he will surely decide. Actually, he probably already has that he is open to a move.

Apart from what i've mentioned, the Journo's believed a CB or two was high priority at this moment in time and believed the first 11 would look different come September.

I actually caught the show myself did you see the bit about how each journo thought we would line up under LVG, was hilarious.

Custis' XI was this:

Smalling Jones Evans Shaw

------Rooney Fletcher

Kagawa Mata Herrera

------------RVP

Rooney in midfield, the defensive one of the two he said as he could play the 'Gerrard role'. Smalling at RB, Kagawa right wing, Herrera left horrible line up.

No one can replace the cannibal.

That has to have been a joke surely? Why is Herrera playing on the left wing? If we lined up like that as LvG's supposed first choice 11 I'd see if I could get money on us to finish lower than last season.

He was good for Sunderland, but Liverpool have done well to get £14 million.

That celebration though, what's that all about?
Its £10mil rising to £14mil with add ons. If Rawk are saying that then its probably true.

Three years ago we signed Suarez, you didn't care at the time. Then Rodgers signed Coutinho and Sturridge together, same indifference. Now we have Lallana and Markovic, two completely uninspiring players.

This is exactly the sort of attitude that will lead [quote caftards]Allardyce, Pardew, etc, to get it wrong again[unquote caftards] against Liverpool. Keep it up guys. We're lovin' it. :D

No joke this is actually how Neil Custis thinks we should line up next season, this is a man who gets paid to watch and write about football for about 20 years now and he comes up with this shit, 4 players out of position which shows how much he knows.

I think Duckers was this:

Rafael Jones Evans Shaw

Herrera Fellaini Cleverley

----------Mata

Van Persie Rooney

While better than custis' effort still not a team i would like to see play certainly not with those players in that formation anyway.

What about Pulis? Don't forget Pulis. He- oh, yeah...

I know its only the Sun,but how can someone this downright stupid get paid money to write about football?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-he-will-decide-his-future-after-holiday.html

Pretty unambiguous: He won't be deciding anything till after his holiday.

Deciding one way or the other after holidays evaluating the situation with any further developments =/= Not deciding anything during holidays if a situation arises.

What else is he supposed to say when he is constantly being asked about his future, and doesn't actually know how far the interest of these clubs would go and how much Juve want to keep him?

He has clearly indicated that he is a open to a move and if terms are agreed with him and his club, i think he would be over to take a call and then a medical like Sanchez did cutting short his holidays when that situation arose for him.

Suarez or Remy? There's a big gulf in class, even when you first signed him it was still considered a superb purchase. Remind me how many trophies won in the last 3 years? You're supposed to be progressing not stagnating. You've just sold the best player you've had in the last 25 years and replaced him with a chap that can't start for England. Not to be disrespectful but you need to push on and not just aim to 'consolidate'.

If united had sold these players what would your reaction be, honestly?

Mate, you asked where he said he wasn't deciding till after his holidays, and I showed you the quotes. How you interpret them is up to you, I'm not arguing any of those points.

The only thing I'd give Duckers line-up over Custis is that it least has the players in pretty much their designated roles, but it's far too lacking in pace and width.

Probably explains why he works for the sun, still irritates the feck out of me when i see a guy like this who gets paid to watch football and comment on it yet seems to know feck all about the game.

Any news on next Villa signings? Can't wait to see who they bring in after Senderos, Richardson, Joe Cole and almost certainly Bendtner.

Apparently Lambert is giving Hutton and Darren Bent another chance at the club, so like they say ''it's like a new signing'' hehe.
