Who the hell are we after? If we are after anyone else...
This closed shop that Woodward is running is doing well at doing my nut in. If not Vidal, who?
Month to new season, surely we want to get our targets in and bedded before the new season starts

Ideally yes, but who knows we might be after someone who played in the semis/final of the world cup so it wouldnt matter if they signed now or at the start of the season

True but can't see it being Di Maria, he'll choose PSG all day long. Hummels? Maybe. Bastian? Doubt Bayern will want to lose 2 World class CM in one window.
 
I think after proudly flaunting our world record £750mil sponsorship deal all over the media lately AND possibly losing out on Vidal, the club will IMO want to make at least 1 huge signing to keep everyone happy.

I'd hate to swap smalling for vermaelen too.

Let's be honest here, no club cares too much about that and would never make a signing to keep fans happy. They do what they thing is a smart business decision or best for the future of the football club. Only clubs like real Madrid and PSG spend for the sake of it.

He works for the Guardian. I'd sooner have him than Agent_Edward or Transfer_United_Live or some other bollocks.

We enjoyed flaunting the "most valuable club in the world" shite for years without making many huge signings, so I wouldn't bank on it.

Urgh this is all so frustrating, i actually have a bit of a headache thinking about all this. I just want to like get a chair, sit in front of Van Gaal, put my hands on his shoulders, look in his eyes and ask "Big lou, tell my why you don't want Vidal.....explain to me why you don't want Vidal..........TELL ME!" :lol:

Has LVG come out and said he doesn't want Vidal?

I'd ask him "mein furher, so who are we after and who are you shifting out"?
 
I very much doubt Jamie Jackson has actually spoke to Louis about Arturo or even anybody who has discussed this move for that matter.

He shouldn't leave full stop. Despite his limitations he's an excellent defender.

I will be livid if we include him a swap deal for Vermaelen or sell him to someone else. More so than when we miss out on big targets.

Young, Fletcher, Fellani, Smalling, Nani, Cleverley in that order order me, don't like Smalling and can see him going for sure.

I'm just including current first teamers before anyone mentions Bebe.

I completely agree, I'm one of his biggest fans - I remember battling it out alongside you against the non believers a few times last season. But, I am open to the fact that he may leave, it's better this way. Less disappointment if it does happen.
 
We should be getting rid of no centre backs right now, after losing our two most experienced centre backs. Jones, Evans and Smalling are all fine. I think we need a top CB to pair with one of them.

But if any of them have to go, it really shouldn't be Smalling. He's currently our best CB.
