It's still not what they need. Rather than signing 12 players they should have signed a couple of defenders and a decent, proven midfielder. They're like that fat Spurs kid in the sweet shop with the Bale pocket money. I can't help by fear for them next year how they're going about the transfer market. It seems so scattergun whilst also largely ignoring their main issue of being weak as nats-piss tea at the back.

Never tried it, but i get your point :D

I think they'll be targeting defenders & a mid-fielder aswell though. Its probably just a case of those two being in big demand at the moment & they've had to act fast..

They'd be feckin stupid if they dont get their defence sorted & atleast one CM too..

Brenton could be the new Rafa though (quantity over quality) - spunking shitloads down the swanny on pure shite.. Hope so anyway..

Cadena SER: Real Madrid's Sami Khedira is asking for €10m per year which Real won't offer. Arsenal,Chelsea, Liverpool City United interested

With Arsenal still on a high after announcing Alexis Sanchez, spare a thought for Blackpool. Their entire squad:

In some ways the worst thing to happen to Blackpool was promotion. Because their owner takes money from the club they didn't really reinvest and so ended up no better off, but with stupidly raised expectations. Of course the supporters wouldn't swap that season but at the end of it all they have to show for it is a club that looks to be in constant disarray, with little or no saleable assets and an almost certain relegation in the next couple of seasons.

Could be that Gary is saying that unless LVG builds a completely new team then its not a revolution. He's just achieving success based on a team SAF put together with LVG's 2 or 3 additions improving it. A revolution would suggest scrapping a whole team and coming up with something from scratch however we know that DDG, Rooney, RVP, Mata, Januzaj et al will form the bones of the team so LVG cant take all the credit.

I think LVG joining is a revolution in itself, with what Giggs is saying he already seems to be making his mark from afar, When he finally arrives at Carrington I'm pretty sure he will revolutionise the whole set up, and not before time.

Remy is a very good striker, better centrally than Walcott who is made of similar glass to Jack Wilshere. He's also a decent alternative to Giroud. They've needed a decent second striker for a couple of years, Bendtner isn't up to the job.

..or any job for that matter. Waste of space that needs to stop pretending to play football & go live in a remote part of the Antarctic to never be seen nor heard again.

He's great at being the Chairman of his own fan club though, so credit where credits due i suppose!

Some of you lads need to stop berating our United legends on here. Its getting pretty tiresome
Just because they are legends does not make them immune to criticism if they say or do odd things.

The MLS is lacking in technicality but it is quite physical and I think Xavi would have trouble getting up and down the field and keeping up with the pace of the game here. He can barely do it in Spain at this point and it is a much slower and technical game there. You really think he would be able to run up to support an attack and then recover when the ball is hoofed back? That is unfortunately what happens often here because of the lack of technical ability and I think playing in a two man midfield would require too much running for a 34 year old Xavi.

Even if he could manage it, it would not be for more than a couple years and the team changing it's system completely just to accommodate one player for a couple years is a mistake.
He could just sit and dictate play and have others around him do all the running. I was jokingly condescending earlier, but let's be honest, the standard ain't great and a player like Xavi would immediately be your best player and one of the best in the league.

I'd want Remy as 1st choice if he's up against Giroud.

Why should club legends be exempt from criticism?

They shouldn't be exempt but don't believe everything you read from any Tom, Dick or Harry. You might as well read The Sun and every other tabloid and actually believe that what is written is there to educate you or tell you the truth about what is actually happening in the world too.

Maybe it'll broaden his horizons, which could only be a good thing.
Not with United. he was another who wanted Giggs to be manager and continue our tradition of British managers. Even certain United players Mata, De Gea, Kagawa his unfairly harsh on them because they aren't his vision of a United player.

Fabregas was on other 'business' in London when Jose met up with him so wouldn't stop him.

Fabregas also has a London based girlfriend, which is also the key reason why he wished to move to London. Its not a stretch to say he actually was on other business.

if there's one thing we've learnt recently it's that an all brazilian back line is an impenetrable fortress.

Indeed. I'd love to see PSG with an all Brazilian back 4 take on Bayern Munich. Muller and Lahm giving Marcello another nightmare, It'd be like round 2 :-).

Has Dante asked for a transfer yet, I doubt he'd want to go anywhere near Germany for a while.
