it was me. Andy Mitten said we made a bid for him two weeks ago.
Andy Mitten also said United think Cavani's wage demands are too excessive on his Playup page. And Daniel Taylor said United have stopped the Cavani pursuit. I'd be very surprised if we're still in for him.

Yes, wrote that too. Cant believe he is still a target

Why do you think he's still a target?

i personally dont think he would be a target. It is just that he said in his video that we were after 2-3 players, that he discussed the last weeks. So the only 2 players he really mentioned were Hummels and Cavani.

Next season we'll have RVP, Rooney, Welbeck, Wilson & Keane as our Strikers - Hernandez will most likely be off. Great debut season, but hasnt progressed - the opposite in fact. His not comfortable in the ball - he admits as much too, and thats not United standard whatsoever. Take the money & use it to invest in the squad..

The 2-3 players don't necessarily have to be players that he's mentioned.

No, he's one who everyone thinks is overrated because they've watched him play about 5 games. Stick him up front as the main man and he'll guarantee you 30 goals a season, he's one of the best strikers in the world, as he showed at Napoli.
This. A million times this. He's a beast of a player and would tear the league apart. Really don't want Liverpool to get him.

He definitely is in that bracket. I bet most you haven't seen him enough. Good at everything and an excellent finisher.

Yeah, they were terrible examples really.
I guess what i wanted to say is - if he was the main striker at barcelona, real madrid or bayern say, would they be looking to replace him?
I kind of think they would tbh.
Benzema kind of suits RM imo. He gets ronaldo et al into the game and he does it better than most.
But then they're looking to replace him so ...
Rooney and RVP aren't really a problem in our team and both are better than cavani imo. They've done quite well despite the non existent midfield. Rooney is debatable (and a boring debate at this point).

Cavani always seemed ... i dont know, a touch below the top tier. I haven't seen him a huge number of times, maybe half a dozen, so im no expert.
He always seemed more of a negredo than an aguerro to me(or whatever names you feel comfortable with). A back up, a side kick.
He's never really been given a chance to be the main striker in a great team so im guessing really though.

Its kind of irrelevant because if he comes here hes more than likely going out on the wing and he isn't playing particularly well out there for psg. Not 50/60 million well anyway.
Or else we have rvp and rooney out on the wing which makes as little sense to me.

Sounds good.

BTW, I believe the Tweet display problem may have been resolved, so no further need to post the text below them.

Nice one Raoul.

I thought it was my laptop to be honest. I had to do a complete C-Drive delete, as it was riddled with all kinds of shit from downloading etc.. and i installed a host of protection, adblockers & flash-blockers just recently too, so i thought that was the problem.

I mentioned it in a couple of threads & pretty much got the same response - that it must be from my end (not my genitalia - my laptop) :)

It makes me so sad that we're not in for Sanchez but if we genuinely have been offered Di Maria and we don't take up that option I'll be beside myself.

I'm sure everybody is aware that Jamie carragher is on twitter. For those who care ex Liverpool player Jim Beglin a has joined twitter. So, if/when Liverpool's meltdown starts, there's another ex Liverpool player you can have something to say to.

Thank you for such important information. I will certainly use it when appropriate this upcoming season.

I know it wasn't the most exciting post in the twitter thread, but the more ex Liverpool players you can pay out on without being offensive, the better surely.

That useless annoying prick is on WC duty with RTE (Irish national tv station) ffs... Jammy feckin bastard is way out of his depth & on the holiday of a lifetime.. So sickening!

For anyone thats not familar with aul Jim's football commentary or analysis - i'll give you a short heads-up to what the useless ex-scouse bit-part player back in the day, goes on like:

"Great pass there from Kroos - reminds of those fantastic passes Graham Souness used to play to Kenny all the time... ah - those were the days.. beautiful football we'll never see again.."

"What a goal by Messi - unbelievable finish. Brucie Grobbelaar would have saved that though... what a top keeper he was. Best ever. We'll never see the likes of Brucie again. What a great team we had back then - best ever in many peoples eyes. Even better than the 1970 Brasil Team.."

"The Columbian squad are just gettin off the team bus - they all look relaxed & fresh for this game, but i think some are showing a little bit of nerves aswell though. When we travelled on the bus to away games with Liverpool, the journey was tremendous. The bus driver - big Dickie McSlurry, had all the lads singing all the songs 'You'll never walk alone.. alone.. alone..' over & over again. Its was wonderful. The players were all so relaxed & we'll never see the like of it again.. Best bus journeys ever it was.."

I aint shittin ya man. He's like that when he's commentating. Never fecks up about the Liverpool glory-days - its friggin cringey.

He played 98 games for Pool & scored 2 goals in 7 seasons with them in the 80's, but goes on like he was a key player for them.

Me & the lads make bets with each other (in the duration of the 90 minutes) to when he pops in the aul: "i played for Liverpool y'know.."

The bastard has even dropped those type of lines in, before the game even starts ffs..

Great stuff

Very quiet for us in the last few 2-3 days. We need to sign Vidal and Snachez Woody ffs!

Bit harsh that. The leg break in the derby completely fecked his career afterwards. One of the worst I've seen.
