Also, it seems highly unlikely that he will be allowed to go without being given a chance to prove himself first. He might not be the answer to our midfield puzzle or someone who fits into our system but I feel he really deserves a fair chance after the money we spent on him last season.

It looks like we are not going to get Sanchez. If he goes to Liverpool or Arsenal then it will be really disappointing. Surely Manchester United is a bigger attraction than them too. No Champions League for one year shouldn't be a deal breaker imo. Also I wonder if this shows that we won't get Vidal. Surely if United were confident of signing him they could let Sanchez know and that could sway him. I suppose it's all speculation and we could sign him tomorrow.

I always thought that Kroos wants to leave Bayern because he is not considered one of the star players and generally not very appreciated by the fans. Madrid wold be a strange choice if that was the case, so its probably just about the money.

Modric is better in many ways, and he's been there for two years now. Kroos will have to adapt, and he has zero defensive qualities.
