I'm going to stick to my opinion and think we won't sign a wide player this window.

Carvalho and a CB prob de Virj
And I'll think our business will be done.

If we signed Vidal, this summer would be one the best I could remember. More so as we are improving the positions we really need
Vidal for me would be insane best centre mid by far. Himself and a very dynamic Herrera could be formidable. Let's just hope someone's warming up the fax machine back at woodys transfer command centre.

Let's go one very big one further

Carvalho
Vidal
De Virjk

Very wishful

Di Maria comes across as more of a natural wide player than Sanchez. I also think he's a little more versatile. Not sure who I'd prefer though, would be delighted with either.
I'd take Di Maria for that reason. He strikes me as a more orthodox United out and out wide man to me.

Eerrghh the Mirror. Why can't BBC sport do a tweet like that or SSN. I get into a little frenzy when I read Vidal tweets then crash when I see the tweeter

Espn (Miguel Delaney) a reliable source reported our interest in yesterday's twitter feast.

James Ducker said we interested. Delaney also is supposed to be reliable.

Nope. Not that I know of. Personally I don't see anything in the Vidal rumours. That's not me ruling out that we may try and sign him, though. Just that I don't think there's anything to the rumours. I personally think it's just news companies trying to sell papers and get website hits.

From top of my head Delaney, Ducker, Ogden and italian newspaper Gazzetta dello sport and Tuttosport. And many others. There is a lot of smoke lets see if there is a fire too.

How much should he cost? That seems about right. Hardly played like the best defender in the world.

I have no idea where you got those figures from but 25-27m sounds about right. He makes alot of mistakes and isn't as infallible as people might think. Nor is he pacy or covered himself in glory this WC. I'd take him in a heart beat because of his potential.

Atleast 35m probably closer to 40m. The valuation of established players like Hummels isn't dependant on the World Cup. Their performances at club level are more indicative. And TBF he has been one of the top defenders around for 2-3 seasons now.

"Si llega un ofertón por Iker Casillas se irá del #RealMadrid " Fernando Burgos

Casillas is for sale, pretty much what that means.

Why English clubs shop abroad: #NUFC have just signed a 25-year-old former Ajax captain for less than Hull paid for Robert Snodgrass.

So, you reckon that the MEN is well ITK?
If we look at the facts we can begin to establish a reasonable conclusion. MEN closest paper to United reports the bid, Tutto and Gazetta the two closest papers to Juve have used it about 3 days in a row, the mail have reported it, James Ducker, Mark Ogden, The Telegraph, the Guardian. I mean really, it's been reported by all these places about 2-3 days in a row now. We are 100% in for him

Not to mention Van Gaal said (paraphrasing) "it was tough to play against Chile when they have players like Vidal."

Vidal didn't play Vs Holland.

No way in seven hells will Dortmund sell him for 25-27 million. Absolutely no way. He has zero motivation to leave, he's their defensive lynchpin, a leader for the whole club on and off the pitch, adored by the fans and is highly rated by Klopp. Dortmund aren't mugs to sell one of the best defenders around for that amount. Only way United or any other club gets him is if we pay through our noses. In a market where David Luiz went for 50 million, Hummels though clearly an upgrade over him is easily worth 35m at the very least. And you can quote this post for future reference incase I'm proven wrong (I won't be BTW).

MEN are actually plagiarising other articles, which makes it BS in my world.

I am, however, inclined to listen to the Italian papers. I don't doubt we are in for him, but I do very much doubt that MEN are in any way ITK.

Didn't he?! I seem to remember watching him.

Only realising this summer how much of a rag MEN is. Always thought before they had some credible insight to the club as the local paper. But no.

Hummels is indeed the darling of Dortmund but it's not the fee were arguing here, it's his wages. We could probably pay triple what Dortmund can. The guy is 24 and should be looking to go to an elite level club to secure payment on his future, players arent playing for their immediate futures but also their continuing wealth after they stop playing. We've seen it happen once this window Herrera was desperate to play for Bilbao, he made the right moves and became the darling over there. No matter who you are, where you play if United show interest you will listen.
