Not in terms of goals and I think we should be identifying a goal-scoring wide forward if we are to sign a wide player.
Not that I wouldn't take di Maria. I just think Sanchez would be better for us and we could do with another source of goals than just the forward, although it isn't imperative.

It was Sanchez for me on the grounds that Di Maria is far too goofy looking. But this physio thing here has turned my stomach. Di Maria for £40m is only £13.5m more than Fellaini.

It seems like James Rodriguez pending move to Madrid will put a lot in motion. Even if we are not in for Sanchez and he goes to Arsenal or Liverpool, Di Maria could be ours because he's not staying at Madrid if/when they get Rodriguez. He's a versatile player, but if we are looking for someone who's as comfortable through the middle as out wide, and able to score plenty from both positions, Sanchez would be more suited. I think Di Maria is the better player overall though.
I'm just gutted because it is just such a bad move. He should really stay at Bayern if he isn't getting a move to Barcelona or Manchester United, teams who could use a player like him and not become another name on the wage packet.
yes he would be perfect for us. Even more so than Sanchez imo. He is running all day and could play anywhere really. Sanchez is more right sided though.

If we signed Vidal, this summer would be one the best I could remember. More so as we are improving the positions we really need
Di Maria comes across as more of a natural wide player than Sanchez. I also think he's a little more versatile. Not sure who I'd prefer though, would be delighted with either.
