Ok, so we aren't interested in Kroos, we had the chance to sign Fabregas but turned it down. Is our top option a £30 million injured Strootman who would cost more than both of them and, quite frankly, isn't better? I hope not. But, if he were to be our top CM target then I would take it.

It's sort of like in van Gaal we have the exact opposite of Moyes. Moyes seemed like he wanted to buy any and every big name player he could regardless of where they'd play or who they'd replace. LVG, however, seems to be willing to pass up quality players if they don't meet his requirements and his system.

I'm astonished that we were not interested at that price. Here's to a summer of chasing ungettable midfielders and ending up with nothing by the end. United have been a shambles for 12 months - I hope we have a plan.
Of course we have a plan. Whether it'll work is another matter.

It it a realistic plan though, or pie in the sky stuff like last summer? I have no faith in the club based on the mess we've seen in the last 12 months. On transfers, we've spent more on Fellaini than Chelsea have paid for Fabregas, a player that we apparently don't feel we need, despite it being abundantly clear that he's great. We also spent nigh on £40m on Mata despite being stacked out in his position.
Our player recruitment has been dire.
. He was available at a good price and he's easily better than we have so we should of gone for him. We need another midfielder also. Chasing an injured Strootman won't do anything for us next season
He is an offensive box to box we need a solid one, we need someone to compensate Kagawa and Mata weakness, Because i'm pretty sure that one of them is going to be the "Litmanen" in van Gaal set up.
Witsel is a good shout. Strootman injured till January, McCarthy isnt good enough (yet), M'Vila??? Hes got a shocking attitude and an a typical holding player - not what LVG wants in my eyes.

You're right about M'Vila he has the level and the potential but his attitude is killing his career. Mccarthy is good enough if we play as a team.
