Southampton are being gutted.

Or they're doing this...

Miss read it. They're talking about Bebe then, so obviously a WUM.

He was probably talking about Jackson Martinez and thought he was Portuguese?

Was going to say this....Koeman will have to get the finger out instantly and start rebuilding the team again.

I think Koeman is not in too bad a situation here. Yes, he's losing the core of his team with Lallana, Lambert, Shaw and apparently Schneiderlin, but he will have £60-80m in hands with all those transfers (excluding any original budget they had for this season).

With some excellent scouting and promoting some of their more talented youth, they should be alright I think. Certainly would be a hard task to see them competing like last season, but they'll stay competitive.

Isn't Lovren likely to go too?

Weren't we in for him last summer or the year before that?

Aye but didn't want to pay what Porto wanted. Understandable that we'd have reservations about paying that much for someone from the Portuguese league but it's a fecking bitch looking back on it now, especially after this World Cup!

No team can lose five guaranteed starters and avoid regression. Even if they reinvest all of that money it's not easy to fit in five new players, who, in all likelihood, are a tad worse than the five that went out. Getting a large wad of cash is always tempting but it's not always that smooth sailing as Spurs found out and hopefully Liverpool will too.

And look where paying top dollar for Premiership proven players has landed us.

Sickening to see Sanchez move to another prem team. Him and Vidal will catapult up to one the best teams in Europe I have no doubt
