Completely forgot that game was on tonight. It will be very interesting to see if Di Maria will be involved or not.
Leaving him out of such an important game when he's not injured is surely a definite sign that he's off?

You can't blame Welbeck for wanting to leave, he will be a fringe player this season and most likely next. He needs regular football, and we should let him have it. As hard as it will be to see him leave it's the right thing to do.
I'm starting to believe we will get Di Maria.

We have so many players I would be perfectly happy to see leave the club this summer.

But not Danny, and preferably not Varela either...

Yes I would have thought so at least.

Wait you want to see if he is involved or not? That tweet just said he didn't even make the bench.

It's not confirmed yet though. Just because some Spanish radio station (albeit a reliable one) are reporting this doesn't mean it's true. Before the first leg I saw a tweet from a Spanish tv station/newspaper saying he was due to start the match and he ended up on the bench.

If we sold Welbeck and got Di Maria instead, I wouldn't be that fussed.
In that sense yeah but we need a good squad as well as a good first team.
Danny is one of our better players as well purely from an ability sense.

I'd be more confident in a Welbeck + either of them partnership than the two together. It's not that crazy to be fair. More years on both of course and without him, we'd only have one player with pace (who's also good) and the ability to carry the ball in Januzaj.

Maybe we can use Welbeck to get Vertonghen that is we are in the market for another central defender.

I'm baffled by the Welbeck decision. Unless he himself says he wants to go for guaranteed playing time. Hernandez should be gone long before Danny. Hope he stays, I really do.

Gutted.

How much is Welbeck worth?

Being english, young must add on a few £££'s.

Am I the only one excited by the fact that letting go of Welbeck surely means a transfer in ?
Who would we sign? A striker to replace RvP/Rooney? If anything we'll sign a young back-up, and no, I can't get excited about that when it's instead of the only local lad in years who has really had a role to play in the first-team.

Getting £15m would be a good deal. Anything more than that is just a bonus.

I wouldn't accept anything less than £25m from Levy, anyone else possibly £15-20m that if we do decide to sell.

You heard of the Utd english tax when buying players, it is now time we enforced a tax when we sell to others in particularly Spurs.

If we were buying Welbeck from Spurs, how much would we end up paying?

Probably £25m.

Anything less than £20m is an insult tbh.
