I haven't followed Milan for some time but I thought Mario was doing well for them at one point? What did he do to have the club and fans want rid of him so badly?

I'm glad scholes is speaking up, someone has to and it sure isn't going to be Gary "442" Neville.

I havent read the article but he apparently talks about tactics. So he is judging LVG after one match? Especially in a match where we were missing 4 key members of our defending setup (rafa, evans, shaw, carrick) and our best striker. He can speak about signing we should have made/should make no problem. But to start talking about the tactics after one game is really silly.

Did he talk about tactics? I didn't read that, from what I read he was having a go at upper management....unless I didn't get the whole interview.

"Di Maria did not particularly want to leave, he wants to win this for him by PSG. Refuses Real. Near MU to accept" (COPE)

Last Tweet isn't the best translation but seems like it's saying that Real are close to accepting our offer?

Crossword is too small, got a bigger image?

To be honest in getting a bit bored of Scholes' opinion. Just because he was a genius with and without the ball doesn't mean he knows more than a top manager like LVG. Especially not when his opinion has been jazzed up by the red top he's writing in or bet Fred or whichever twat bookies it is he "writes" for.

I idolise the player, I don't agree with the pundit.

Wind your neck in. We've signed a CB, a LB and a CM for crying out loud!
For all we know, Herrera may turn out a great signing, Shaw may be a beast, Rojo may become a really top player for us this year. Van Gaal may start winning games (which he will) and all of a sudden it was a good window and we are back on the up. People are moaning because of the on the field stuff, as soon as we start winning the moaning stops.

Although I maintain we need more for this window to be anything close to a success. But people saying ''Woodward hasn't gotten anywhere'' etc and the daft Glazer movements, it's all just kneejerk reactions to poor displays from the team and how bad last season was. We will turn it round.

If we sign nobody else but start winning, people will be more reasonable in their criticism. Was always the case under Fergie with out transfer policy. Gill was more anonymous than Woodward in buying players, but there was no ''Gill is a clown'' because we had Fergie winning us games all the time. Van Gaal will do that soon (maybe not to the same degree, but still).

Di Maria, Maria,
You remind me of a legends story,
Growing up in Argentina,
Now living life of United Star!

We should be raiding Monaco. Right now. Who've they got? Moutinho definitely, please and thank you.

According to the guys on ACMilan-online forum, he's tactically destructive in that he doesn't have the discipline to play according to the team instructions, and therefore play breaks down in fluidity because of that.

I don't even speak French but some of these translations....

Basically Di Maria doesn't especially want to leave Real but he wants to make as much as PSG are willing to pay him. Real have refused. United are close to accepting.

French fixed and embellished a little at the end.

I distinctly recall Scholes, and many others stating during the Swansea game that we'd switched to a 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 during the second half. He might make mention of adhering to tradition in future.

I don't get this obsession with English coaches and ex-players glorifying a very tactically outdated and ineffective system.

For all we know we still don't have a wide player that Van Gaal actually rates and if you think that Fletcher is a good partner for him then let's just say agree to disagree. It's not knee jerk, it's finally that people realise that this squad still needs atleast 2 players to have a good chance for top4.

Woodward briefed the press with sayings like 5 more Matas in the summer and even held an interview that shareholders've been told that they should expect alot more movement in the transfermarket. He didn't get anywhere. Fergie never, ever said that a squad couldn't challenge for the title and mounted pressure on Gill, because certain deals haven't happened.

Is it so hard to be realistic? He managed one deal in this transfer window, as Herrera and Shaw seem to have been done before, and that was even just the option B to Vermaelen. But yeah call me knee jerk, I think you guys should be more realistic.

Woody has tormented us muppets for far too long. Unless he signs Di Maria, Vidal, Ronaldo or God, I fear he has irretrievably tarnished his reputation on here. Motivation if ever I saw it.

I actually think he'd be better viewed if he hadn't done that "watch this space" interview, followed by "we can break the world transfer record". You can't act all Mohammed Ali before the big fight and then go all Perez Hilton once you're in the ring. Football fans aren't reasonable people. Case in point, I've wasted 90% of the summer F5'ing the feck out of this forum hoping for good news. I've only just realized that I should've been working the whole time and I have several deadlines looming. That still won't stop me though.
