Didn't say that at all. Was just replying to the previous post and making a silly analogy. I've already laid out what I think of the squad in a much earlier post. I am very excited about the young players we have coming through and the players we have signed. I've also been a huge supporter of Fletcher since day one. It's not to say there aren't deficiencies.
I think Fletcher looked tired from pre-season, in a way understandably. Carrick missing is a shame as I think he would have been in that midfield. Danny missing would have given pace as would Valencia. RVP is wanted as well. Chicharito is nowhere near the player he was. It was not a mistake letting Rio go, his defending on Saturday for QPR proved that. Pity Vidic didn't hang fire until the season ended and he might have stayed. That would have been great for the defence. Rafael being perpetually injured is a hindrance as well.

Thats the problem with losing three experienced, quality defenders in one summer. We needed them for at least for one season so we could have focused fully on our midfield this summer instead of worrying in addition about our defense right now.
We didn't need Rio, so get that out of your head, the other two, yes

Agree with all of that. I'm a big Carrick fan. LVG clearly likes his players to mix things up sometimes and quickly switch play to opposing flanks. Carrick is by far the best long passer we have.

Rio would have probably suited this 3-5-2 quite well I reckon. Pace was his only problem, he's still a quality defender in the right set-up and he's brilliant at bringing the ball out of defence.

It might not have been the worst idea to keep him here another season but what's done is done and all that.

We should have kept vidic for another season . He would have been terrific in the middle of a back 3 as well as helping rojo settle .
Now its as if its the blind leading the blind

It is. They all have talent, but are looking to each other for guidance. They needed a Vidic there. I hate people talking as though they are useless, they aren't, they are inexperienced. We shouldn't have let that happen.

Not sure how Balotelli fits in to the Liverpool system tbh and he will cause problems if Benched.

Tony Barrett:The situation with Liverpool & Balotelli has moved on in the last 12 hours or so. An initial loan inquiry has led to talks with AC Milan.

There's the obligatory nutter for your side.

I think it was right to let Rio, Vidic and Evra go, they where all over the top. The problem is that we still have to many avrage players like Fletcher, Cleverly, Young, Valencia and Fellaini. It's just too many of them, and they are to often involved. Fletcher is in his last year of contract and we owe him as much as keeping him the last season, but Young, Valencia and Fellaini should be sold and replaced at once.

I think we should have kept Nani and payed over the top for Vidal and Di Maria, then we whould have been in a situtation where only small changes had to be made year by year.

We should have paid over the top for benatia as well....that was our vidic replacement....and for 35m

This talk of overreacting is bullshit in my view. We were promised a much needed squad overhaul this summer, and as of now our squad looks weaker than it did before last season - LvG aside. We're in danger of missing out on CL for the second year running if nothing else happens, and we definitely won't be contenders for the title.

People are upset and worried, and rightly so.

Whats the point in a static Balotelli who will score less than Sturridge in that system?

Saying that.. I guess him in the middle with Sterling and Sturridge running beyond him would be a lot better than Sterling Sturridge and Markovic or whoever.

Still, it's the wrong position to bring in the quality. Get quality on the wing and keep Sturridge in the middle.
