All he's done is slam United in pretty much every article he's written so far. It's the same anti United stance that Gary took at Sky, they take it way too far to not look biased.

I get where your coming from....but does anyone ever think it's because they deserve to be slammed currently? I thought his Rooney comments were strange to be fair...but otherwise I have agreed with most of what I have read.

We were a shambles last season...and deserved all the stick we got.

This man spent his whole career here, and has been one of the best players I have ever had the joy to watch at old Trafford. He is welcome to any opinion he wants as far as i am concerned. I think he's as pissed off as most United fans about the state of us currently.

He really has.

The thing about Scholes and Neville is they aren't really saying anything that we don't know. They're more reasoned in their criticisms of United than most others, but they aren't really providing any new insight to the situation beyond "this is not the United we played for, experience is important and needs to be replaced, the club shouldn't panic buy, they need an infusion of talent, pace and youth, etc."

The Delaney article yesterday on ESPNFC provided more insight into the actual workings of the club and why they are struggling in the transfer market, rather than giving another verbose and repititive analysis of the symptom of the problem (performances on the pitch). Scholes telling us that Kroos would be a great purchase isn't really much of an analysis.

No this is better:

De Gea

Rafael-----Smalling-----Jones-----Rojo

Fletcher-----Herrera

Januzaj-----Rooney-----Mata

RVP

No, Mata wouldn't work there. The wide men in LVG's system stay wide and high up the field to keep the field large in possession. Think more as a wing forward than a no. 10 with the ability to drift inside.

What about the old classic W - M championship manager formation? Think Sacchi used it at Milan too.

De Gea

Smalling ___ Evans

Rafael _______Carrick________Shaw

Januzaj ______ Herrera _______Mata

Rooney ______ Van Perise

or how about just a big circle around a campfire singing Kumbaya and hoping for the best?

De Gea
Smalling _________Evans
Rafael ___________________ Shaw
Carrick ____________:devil:___________Herrera
Januzaj __________________Mata
Rooney_________Van Persie

Next home game line up. Saw it in my tea leaves.

-----------Vidal Herrera

-----Januzaj --Mata --Di Maria

--------------Rooney

Although it was possibly spiked.

Kind of obvious, isn't it? An incredibly unbalanced squad overloaded with shit in defence and midfield with no signs that we're serious about rectifying it. Fletcher looks like he's going to be our engine in midfield this season, for Christ sake. The squad is in a disgraceful state.

Couldn't agree more.

The squad really is in awful shape. As someone said above. The defence and midfield are all over the place and we have too many #10's and strikers competing for one or so spots and we don't look like were gonna fix it any time soon. I am worried.

Get Kagawa, Hernandez, Young(still not good enough), Cleverley, Anderson, Zaha(loan), Lindegaard and Powell(loan) out of the club and I'll be seriously impressed with Ed. That is at least as big a challenge as bringing in new players. As it is our squad is CL-sized...and we're simply not going to have enough games to keep players happy.

According to Man Utd Sainz who works for AS and Cadena Ser, we're also in the mix for Falcao.
