Spot on. Pretty pointless signing. They've got Neymar, Messi, Suarez, Pedro et al all with lots of years ahead, and that's not including their supposedly brilliant cantera with players who could break out from there.

Like RedDF said, they're turning into Real Madrid.

I did say before I could see him getting game time there, but he should be 1st choice with an understudy, not waiting for the inevitable injuries to Messi and Neymar, or the banning of Suarez.

They certainly are turning into Real Madrid, I actually dislike Barcelona more than Real these days, and I used to be a fan of Barca.

How many times have we been linked to Guarin this summer? In fact, he has been linked to every team out there!

It's ominously quiet on the Sneijder front...

Current rumours round up:

Lucas Silva is coming.
Di Maria is coming.
Bid for Gaitan being prepared.
Guarin could be coming.
No Blind.
Not a sausage on Vidal.

So we're currently signing 3 midfielders and a winger.

Not bad huh?

Rojo followed Cuardado on Twitter/Instagram or some social media bullshit. He is coming as well. Replacing Young and Valencia with Di Maria and Cuardado.

Spending:

Minus 30m for Cesc's transfer. It's brilliant business really. 100m and they've got the 3rd best player in the world, a top class midfielder (Rakitic), two solid defenders and two highly rated GKs. This summer we've spent 76m and got an all-to-prove midfielder, an inexperienced, 18-year-old LB and a young, relatively unproven CB.

That's on top of an already stellar squad. I've made this point elsewhere, anyway.

Jesus Christ! Not this guy again. His and Cavani rumors just won't go away.

I'm just laughing at when they leave Iceland. Could be worse they could be in farm foods and those f*ckers never have more than one till open!

On a serious note. No thanks would rather Song on loan. Preferrably neither.

You're just being hysterical, we have bought well this summer, we just need more signings.

Calling Mathieu and Vermaelen solid defenders is just wrong. One is never fit and the other is a converted left winger who has played one season at CB.

Guarin wouldn't be that bad of a signing tbh.

Bearing in mind Woodward's comments:
“The reality is that we’re not afraid of spending significant amounts of money in the transfer market. Whether it’s a record or not doesn’t really resonate with us. What resonates is an elite player that the manager wants who is going to be a star for Manchester United.”
It would make perfect sense that we'd be after Guarin, a mediocre midfielder that Inter have wanted rid of for a couple of seasons.

Didn't sir bobby even say something like we could see our transfer record broke a few times? Ridiculous the amount of shit everyone has said only for it to be a standard disappointing summer from us.

Ooh dear, maybe you should have continued the joke

I know, I know but I'm desperate and the fact that Song can defend and did well in the premier league gives him slight appeal. To be fair I believe him better technically and physically than Fletcher and Cleverley but then again that's not saying much.

I want Vidal.

Hardly being hysterical... I'm absolutely right.

Vermalaen, when fit, is a good player. Mathieu was solid for Valencia last season.

Put their summer business next to ours - so far - and they win, easily.

Comparisons aside, they've still had a great summer.

Brilliant business signing an animal , two over the hill centre backs and two goalkeepers, sure it would have been welcomed by United fans instead of investing for the future with a proven midfielder, a young excellent LB and a young CB/LB with already 28 caps for Argentina

True  :(

IF, we get Di Maria and the Brazilian DM, that will surely spell the end of 3-5-2 and bring about a 4-3-3 formation, meaning we may not need any more defenders, which might make sense that we're not in for Benatia, or being linked to any other CBs now.

Just trying to apply some logic to some potential bullshit.

Looking at the way things stand, I'd say Di Maria and Lucas Silva are the most likely to join.

(PSG will probably sign the fecker now).
