Brilliant business signing an animal , two over the hill centre backs and two goalkeepers, sure it would have been welcomed by United fans instead of investing for the future with a proven midfielder, a young excellent LB and a young CB/LB with already 28 caps for Argentina

Really? He's going to bag them a ton of goals, he's a fantastic player. They don't give two fecks about what he's done and neither do the fans. Mathieu and Vermalaen are fine squad additions.

It's a funny old world when signing one of the best players in the world is construed as bad business.

Suarez, Eriksen, Vertonghen, bony have all come from the Dutch league and been good signings for their respective clubs. A case of once bitten, twice shy. I guess United will never sing players from Everton from now on given how badly Fellaini worked out.
His comment is BS anyway. Ruud? Stam?

If anything, signing the best players from the Eridivisie has a higher hit rate then Serie A probably.

Until he does it again, how many United fans would have been happy if we'd signed Suarez ?

Well we've got history with him, so not very happy at all. If the Evra incident hadn't happened, and his greatest crime was biting people, I would have had him here toute suite. And I'd have been cheering for him when he undoubtedly smashed in 30+ goals.

I'm not doubting his ability but as they say "there may be trouble ahead..."

Bearing in mind Woodward's comments:

It would make perfect sense that we'd be after Guarin, a mediocre midfielder that Inter have wanted rid of for a couple of seasons.

Didn't sir bobby even say something like we could see our transfer record broke a few times? Ridiculous the amount of shit everyone has said only for it to be a standard disappointing summer from us.

There is no point trying to talk the RM talk if we aren't actually prepared to walk the RM walk.

EDIT: the first tweet is half correct, 48 hours comes from Mundo though, not the Marca article.

Second is correct.

People often say 'the same journalist who called...' but in most cases, said journalists also made claims in the past which proved not to be true. Getting one right doesn't make you an oracle.

Hey now! don't spoil it! :D

As someone has already said, if we sign Di Maria then we might not need another CB. However I do think we need a CDM and another CM.
I would be ecstatic if we got Rojo, Lucas Silva, Vidal and Di Maria.

He's doing a q&a on twitter, and they're not posting the questions to go along with the answers.

This evening at 6.30. Watch.

"But the stock market will still be open, it has to be closed before we can announce it" ;)

I haven't seen anything new from Norwood on twitter yet, could be taking the photos as we speak.

This one

Don't think Ollie Holt gets how to use twitter though, he keeps replying but not directly to the question.

I am imagine it refers to that Brazilian guy, pretty much unknown so journos are hardly going to get excited about it.

Edit: seen above!

Thought it was just me staring at the page with a puzzled look

I think the question was "Why have reliable Journalists not been reporting on United transfers like normal, have they been warned not to".

Or something along them lines.

What @Hal9000 said in fact.

Real Madrid really are the ultimate piss-take of a club. ADM was their best player last season, and you can bet James is being paid an obscene amount more than he is pre-negotiation, and it sounds like they're still not interested in giving him a wage that rewards his performance level all the while knowing Ancelotti wants him to stay and the player wouldn't even think of moving on if paid his due.

Is there any other club on the planet where your reward for your best season ever, and one that wins your employer the European Cup, is them trying to sell you?
