To be fair, we've freed up a shit tonne of wages this summer. If we could shift Hernandez, Fellaini and Anderson, that'd be another 200k, or so, a week available.

If the reports are true it appears that he his a mercenary waiting for the largest pay packet but it's typical of the modern footballer. Di Maria's attitude towards training and playing for Madrid and his previous clubs has been reported as fantastic. Ozil was sold last year ahead Di Maria because it was reported that Di Maria had a better attitude. Di Maria deserves to be on parity with most players not named Ronaldo at Madrid.
I dont think wages should be a problem, since we don't have Rio, Vida, Evra and Giggs on the wage bill anymore.. Comes down to whether Woodward is ready to pay top dollar for Di Maria
