They are receiving all of the Rojo transfer fee. They terminated their agreement with Doyen who had a 75% share in him as they had advised him to go on strike. Doyen are taking them to court over this so Sporting may only end up getting 25% of the fee but as it stands they are getting 100%.
No they are not. Unless, I misread it, they'll pay Doyen the initial money they invested in Rojo (75% of 5m euro) and 20% of the profit to Spartak (~4m euro) and keep the rest. Doyen is definitely taking this into court

Laughing to myself at the idea of a random ex-player who popped onto MUTV being a reliable source of transfer news. Perhaps we should call up Keiran Richardson and see if he's heard any news.

In all honesty, though, while I would love another signing, you can't go expecting us to sign 4-5 first team players after sacking the manager last season. Either you incorrectly sacked your manager for failling to reach top four or you correctly sacked your manager because the players WERE capable of top four. So, which is it?

Some posters have spat theiir dummy out and thrown the toys out of the pram and want to blame anyone and everyone for not finishing in the top 3 for the first time in 20 odd years whether it be the manager, the players, Woodward , the Glazers or even the tea lady.
On top of which they believe every single newspaper report or twitter. I am sure if the Express announced that the world might end soon, and the only way of surviving was to wear a pink and blue spotted gorilla suit, the sales of the said gorilla suit would skyrocket

Seriously, we have already signed 4 first teamers this year and expecting 1 or 2 more before the end of the window, about time these moaners supported the club and the players instead of complaining non-stop

Who's the 4?

As for the moaning about the club - people are supporting the club by taking a serious look at the ownership model we are currently in.

Mata, Herrera, Shaw, Rojo? All first teamers for sure. Considering the amount of players we lost, we still need more.

We spent €90m this Summer and €140m this year. If people want to think that Glazers are tight and unwilling to offer the manager support right now they're mad.

They've spent money since last year. The malaise we have (and the reason we need to spend so much) is down to their refusal to reinvest for many years. Whether they are spending now is irrelevant - the damage has already been done.

Seriously, if we sign Di Maria, all of this muppeting and the constant trawling through this forum will all be worth it. Unfortunately, I just can't see it :(

Yep, it's a shame that we were skimping on signings between 2008 and 2011, we fell off from being the best side in Europe at that time and have paid for it recently. Over the last couple of years though the money has been freed up, we've just spent it haphazardly and have a squad that's not top 4 standard while we're paying very ordinary players such as Anderson, Fellaini and Nani massive wages.

Mata, Herrera Shaw and Rojo

Not going into the Glazer debate again, this is a very well run club and within two or three years this ownership model will become clear why it is so much better than the oil owners hobby club

They are Rojo advisors, they can tell him to go on strike. Furthermore the strike didn't caused any prejudice to Sporting, and was caused by the breach of an oral agreement, which can be used against Sporting.
But we will see.

He has his own agent who has nothing to do with Doyen as far as I know. Surely he is his primary advisor? While the strike didn't cause any prejudice to Sporting surely when they entered into the agreement with Doyen to purchase him from Spartak they must have entered certain conditions, one of which may have prohibited them from telling him to go on strike amongst other things.

It is likely that it was more than just a breach of an oral agreement. I remember just after Rojo went on strike Sporting released a statement saying that they would review the agreement with Doyen and see if there were any grounds for terminating it following their actions. A few days later they announced they had terminated the agreement and returned their initial 75% investment which suggests they came across something that allowed them to legitimately terminate the agreement.

True I forgot about that. They are still receiving far more than they would have if they hadn't terminated the agreement with Doyen though.

So in turn you want to turn your back on them and protest now when they finally began spending? It is not said that it was them and not Fergie who decided to keep money.

So, until now players wouldn't join us because we wouldn't offer enough money, now we do and still get rejected... wtf

Didn't realise you said the year, originally thought you meant this summer.

"this is a very well run club" - feck me. What they have got away with should be illegal. The impact they have had on us is incredible and if it hadn't been for the genius of a manager then the slide would have started long ago.

Start protesting? Its never stopped since they arrived pal - they've been a cancer since day one. Its the part time fans that want to kick up fuss now because they haven't got a shiny new player to watch. If you want to believe that Fergie all of a sudden (after 20 years of management) began to be self-conscious of money being spent then go right ahead.

Pay no attention to that SSN reporter tweet.

We are revealing nothing to the reporters. The Herrera and Rojo deal came out of the blue.

I'm convinced we'll sign another and possibly one more either on loan.

Liverpool must really regret shopping in the Eredivisie.

Again, who told him we've made no more formal offers? The clubs media office?
It's plain to see all the leaks and sources within the club have either dried up or not willing to speak. Plus it's not like United are going to come out and say "Oh yes, we've got 4 offers on 4 players at the moment". Could you imagine if they said that and we got none of them? It would cause mass meltdown with most United fans, more so than we've seen at the moment!

United are going to deny everything and i'm betting clubs who's players we're going for have been told to tell no one either. Basically only those who need to know whats going on, know. The best policy is what we're doing now. Deny everything, therefor, if nothing comes off, it was all speculation anyway. Tell no one our plans, much easier to save face if nothing happens.
It must be the media office, surely they haven't rung round every club on the planet to see if we have made a bid for a player. Unless of course they thought they would just chuck that in to wind us up.

I think we'll get Di Maria and possibly Lucas Silva.
If we wanted Vidal or Blind we would have bought them by now.

What exactly have they done that is illegal, be careful what you wish for, I want a long lasting continuation of the success of this club, quote me in a few years time when the top three will be us, Arsenal and Liverpool, wait and see...

Suarez, Eriksen, Vertonghen, bony have all come from the Dutch league and been good signings for their respective clubs. A case of once bitten, twice shy. I guess United will never sing players from Everton from now on given how badly Fellaini worked out.

He's only speculating anyway, I'd say it's an idiot comment, you don't refuse a league because of a few layers, it's like saying we bought a few Mexicans once and they weren't very good, so we don't bother with Mexicans as their not good enough, it's sweeping and generalised and something I would hope we wouldn't be stupid enough to even think about
